It'd been a few weeks and Indigo and I hadn't talked since Halloween night. I had noticed that he'd came to school with some injuries the Monday after Halloween and I asked Nat what happened that night. She explained everything and it caused a smile for a day or two, but slowly the smile started to fade and was again became a frown. Nat had also began to slowly disappear from my life to hang out with Todd, so my main priority was Damien and homework until a couple days before Thanksgiving break.

"Hey." Indigo greeted, walking up to me. I raised my eyebrow out of curiosity but continued.

"Hey." I replied. He nodded at me and handed me a piece of folded paper, before rushing off to go find Rayne, most likely. I let out a soft chuckle as I shook my head, unfolding the paper.

Hey Violet, I know we don't talk much anymore, but since Thanksgiving is coming up, I just wanted to let you know that I'm thankful I had the chance to be in your life, and I'm sorry that I couldn't stay in it. Lifeworks in mysterious ways. Thank you for being the best family I've ever had. Anyways, that's all. Bye, Vi.

I couldn't help but smile at the note, until I realized that it meant that he was actually done with me. It hurt to know that he'd give up so easily, but a man in love is a dangerous, unpredictable thing, so I nodded, content knowing that at least he was happy. I folded the note back up and put it in my pocket, before heading to class.

I sat at home with Damien, who was now approximately 4 months, and It'd begun to try to teach him how to talk.

"Say Violet, Damien. Can you say Violet?" I asked in a baby voice. He just let out some baby gurgling and a small shriek of excitement. I sighed, smiling at him. "Not yet, but we'll get there. Are you tired?" I chuckled. He obviously didn't respond, but I put him to bed anyways before falling back down into the couch.

"It's sad when the only person you have to talk to is a four-month-old child who can't respond." My mom chuckled leaning on the door frame. I rolled my eyes, smiling at her.

"Hey Mom. How are you feeling?" I asked. She sighed.

"It's a particular bad day for me." She replied. I nodded.

"I'm sorry." I apologized. She shrugged, then suddenly she got a look on her face, before she collapsed onto the floor. I hopped up, rushing over to her. She was unconscious, but alive. Quickly, I called 911 and they rushed her to the hospital, me going with them.
