It'd been a few days since the incident had happened and Indigo had skipped the last few tutorings, leaving me alone in a room to do my homework peacefully, which kind of proved that'd I'd ruined everything. I knew him and Rayne were still together because I saw them together in the halls. Every day in English Rayne would greet me with a bitter smirk and say,

"Hey Homewrecker," and then nothing else all class. It was my Hell, but it was finally the last day of tutoring and Halloween, though Halloween didn't feel nearly as special with everything going on. During the 3rd period class, Mr. Matthews called Indigo and I up to the office.

"Welcome. So, I am less than pleased with your performance at tutoring, that is, when you both bother to show up." He announced. For a second I was scared that he was going to sentence us to another three weeks, but then he spoke up.

"But, Violet is passing all of her classes, so no more tutoring. I am proud of you Violet and Indigo." He announced. I nodded and so did Indigo. I glanced over at him, to see him also glancing over at me, but as soon as he realized I was looking at him he looked away.

"You may go and have a nice Halloween." He smiled at us. I got up and left, but I noticed Indigo didn't follow behind me.

Indigo sighed, looking at Mr. Matthews.

"She passed?" Indigo asked. Mr. Matthews nodded.

"Yes Indigo, I told you it would work out." Mr. Matthews smiled triumphantly. Indigo shook his head.

"It didn't work out. You don't know the half of it." Indigo muttered. Mr. Matthews chuckled.

"I know all of it, we do have security cameras, you know?" He responded. Indigo raised his eyebrow.

"I- um- never thought of that." He sighed.

"I didn't expect you to, you were too busy with your personal business, like stopping a fight, then starting a whole other one, but it's all good. In the end, you have who you want and Violet is passing, correct?" Mr. Matthews explained. Indigo nodded. Even though he knew he should've been happy, he wasn't, not even a little. But he ignored it. He left the office with a frown on his face.

For the first time in weeks, I got to go home as soon as school ended, which seemed like something I should've been happy about, but I wasn't. I was extremely upset and disappointed since I knew that I wasn't going to see Indigo again, as a friend or anything more. He was with Rayne and there was nothing I could do about it I entered my house and looked around. My mom was sitting on the couch, holding Damien.

"Hey Mom, how was your day?" I asked, dropping my bag on the ground next to the door.

"Hi darling, it was okay, how was yours?" She asked. I shrugged.

"It was okay. Happy Halloween." I smiled, walking to my room and plopping on my bed. I glanced over at my costume I'd set out the day before and sighed, sitting up and turning on a horror movie. Somewhere around midnight, I heard a knock on my window. Since I'd been watching horror movies all night, I was extremely freaked out as I headed towards the window, looking out and seeing the face of someone I hadn't seen since I'd gotten drunk last: Flynn. I opened the window and tilted my head.

"What do you want?" I asked. He climbed in my window and raised his eyebrow at me, a sloppy smile on his face. As he passed me, the scent of alcohol followed him, which didn't surprise me. It was Halloween after all.

"Well, i-it's Halloween, Vi. I was atta party, but I didn't see you there, soya I wanted so find out why you wasn't partying with us-me-us." He stumbled over his words as he sat on my bed. I frowned.

"I'm giving up that life." I sighed, plopping down on the bed next to him. He frowned at me.

"Aww, why Vi?" He asked, giving me a pouty face. I rolled my eyes.

"Because alcohol kills brain cells and I want to actually do something with my life." I retorted. He just snorted as a response.

"Sweeeet." He muttered before putting his hand on my thigh and letting his eyes roam over my body. Instantly I began to feel uncomfortable.

"You know, you're really hot." He smirked, leaning in. I pushed him back, but he just gripped my thigh and wrapped his free arm around my waist, pulling me close to him. Fear set inside of me as he smashed his lips against mine. He tasted like alcohol and smoke and I pushed him back as hard as I could but he refused to give up, his hand slowly moving up my thigh. Quickly, out of fear, I grabbed his bottom lip between my teeth and bit down as hard as I could, drawing blood. He yanked up, putting his hand that was previously on my thigh on his lip and cursing at me.

"Flynn. Get the hell out of my house." I demanded, standing up and creating some distance between us. He stood up and hobbled over to my window before turning to face me.

"No wonder Indigo doesn't like you, you're such a prude." He scoffed, before disappearing through my window. As soon as he was gone I rushed to the window, closing it and locking it, before sitting on my bed.

Indigo stood behind a counter, waiting for customers to come in. Since sit was Halloween, it'd been a slow day, and the fact that a huge party was going on across the street from his work, practically scared off anyone who'd want to buy comic books. The house was lit with lights and fake fog and decorated to look scary. Suddenly he spotted Nat chasing after a guy Indigo, just barely recognized as Flynn, a pothead and drunk. He watched their exchange closely since Nat seemed to be pissed and Flynn was obviously drunk, but then Nat slapped him across the face and he grabbed her by the shoulders, so Indigo rushed out pushing him off of her.

"Hey, hey. What's going on here?" He asked. Flynn shook his head, giving Indigo a devious grin, before spitting out something that looked an awful lot like blood.

"Don't worry Indy, Nat and I were just having a friendly chat." He lied. Indigo glanced at Nat, who was fuming at him with tear streaks on her face.

"I'll tell you what the hell is going on, that pervert almost raped my best friend!" She screamed, anger radiating off of her like Indigo had never seen. He touched Violet; His Violet. Before Indigo even knew what he was doing he was on top of Flynn, punching him in the face as hard as he can. It was a shock he wasn't dead from how hard Indigo was bashing his face but he wasn't and Indigo didn't care. Violet didn't deserve to be treated that way, not by anyone.

"Indigo!" Nat called, a weary tone in her voice. Indigo let down his guard for a second, giving Flynn time to push him onto the ground and start slamming his fist into Indigo's face this time. Indigo could hardly feel any of the pain because of how mad he was. Then around the point when Indigo had started to see black dots in his vision, he lifted his arm up and grabbed Flynn by the shirt, throwing him roughly onto the ground. Then he stood up and looked around. There was a huge crowd around them and he felt blood pouring from his nose and lip and his eye starting to swell, but he didn't care, he just strutted back into his work and locked up shop, pulling out his phone and calling Violet.

"Hello?" She answered. He felt a smile grow on his face when he heard her voice, but he forced it away.

"Hey, it's me. I just wanted to know you were okay? I heard what happened with Flynn." He explained. He heard her sigh on the end of the line.

"I'm fine, I didn't let him do anything. He might not be, I made his lip bleed really bad." She admitted. Indigo let out a chuckle, glancing at Flynn, who was outside glaring through the window, with a busted lip, broken nose, black eye and bruises all over his face.

"Atta girl. Way to take care of yourself. I have to go, but if you're ever in serious trouble, call me, I'll be there." He assured her.

"Okay. Bye and Happy Halloween." Violet replied, hanging up. The next time Indigo looked out the window he saw Flynn getting in his car and speeding off, swerving a bit. His only hope was that he wouldn't hurt anyone else when he inevitably crashed.
