"She's just so infuriating," I complained, ranting to Nat with a glare in my eyes.
"I'm sorry. Aren't you mad at him too?" She asked. I nodded.
"Yes. He's also infuriating, but I can't do anything about that." I ranted. Nat sighed.
"So, you can do something about Rayne?" She asked, raising her eyebrow. I frowned at her.
"Way to ruin it." I sighed. She looked up at me.
"I know you're upset, but try not to do anything you'll regret." She responded. I nodded.
"I'll try. Toss me a soda." I ordered and she did.
"So, are you still going to the tutorings?" She asked. I nodded.
"Yeah, for Damien and my mom," I explained. She smiled and tilted her head.
"Look at you, already being more responsible. You're gonna make a great mother one day." Nat chuckled. I shrugged.
"I practically am one already." I sighed. She shrugged and looked down at her phone, a smile forming on her face. I raised my eyebrow at her, a smirk forming on my face as well.
"What's got you so chipper?" I asked, tilting my head. She looked up at me and for a second it seemed like she'd forgotten I was there.
"Oh, nothing. You know, I'm pretty thirsty, I think I'm going to go grab another soda." She avoided, getting ready to stand up.
"No, no, no. You're not getting out of this. Is it a guy? Who?" I asked, a smile forming on my face. She sighed, and smiled as well, sitting back down.
"Come on Vi, can't this wait for tomorrow? I'll tell you while we're getting ready for school." She pleaded. I shook my head.
"Nope. Spill it." I demanded. She sighed.
"Well, fine. It's a guy. I didn't want to tell you because of everything going on with you and Indigo, I kind of felt like I'd be rubbing my happiness in your face." Nat smiled. I smiled at her.
"Nat, I'm happy for you. So, who is it?" I asked, a teasing smile on my face. She chuckled and bit her lip.
"Well, it's Todd." She admitted. My mouth fell agape.
"Todd? As in Indigo's best friend?" I asked. She nodded.
"Yeah, see, ever since you and Indigo started tutoring at school, Todd and I would hang out at Grayson's and wait for and after school, while you were having the time of your life at tutoring with Indigo, he kind of kissed me and asked me to be his girlfriend." She explained. I chuckled at her.
"That's great, Nat. I'm really happy for you." I responded. She smiled and looked around.
"Okay, so, I am going to go grab some soda from the fridge." She announced, standing up and going to the fridge.
. . .
"I don't know. We were getting along so well." Indigo sighed, sitting on his bed next to Rayne. She sighed, putting her hand on his cheek and giving him a soft smile.
"I'm sorry." She apologized, tilting her head at him. He shrugged.
"It's not your fault. What did you two even talk about while I was gone?" Indigo asked. She shrugged.
"Not much. I was just telling her how lucky I was to have you." Rayne lied. Indigo sighed, wrapping his arm around her waist and kissing her forehead.
"I'm so happy that I have you, Rayne. You've made me so happy." He smiled, staring into her eyes. She smiled.
