Indigo sat up in his bed, recalling the events from the night before. He was fully aware that his actions would have consequences, but he held no regrets other than Violet seeing it. He slowly pushed himself out of bed and headed to the bathroom, catching a glance of himself in the mirror. He had few visible injuries, like the cut on his lip and the blood and bruises on his fists that were currently covered up by bandaids. He ripped off the bandages and threw them in the trash. His eyes landed on the cut on his lip and his mind flashed to the night before. His heart fluttered when he remembered how delicate Violet had been when cleaning the cut. The thought of her pulled at his heartstrings and he was once again filled with guilt. He pushed the feelings down, splashing his face with water and getting ready for his day.

Indigo sighed, leaning back in his front seat, rain pouring into the car through his broken window. He looked out the front windshield at the pouring rain. He pushed his door open and stepped outside, using his hand to shield his eyes from the droplets of water.

"Hey, Indy." Rayne appeared in his field of vision, grabbing his hand and dragging him to the shade. When they were out of the storm he looked down at her and saw that she was holding a coffee cup out to him. He raised his eyebrow.

"Um, I don't like coffee." He pointed out. She let out a soft chuckle.

"Good because it's hot chocolate." She smiled at him until she saw his fist. Her smile flipped into a frown and she grabbed his hand, examining it.

"What did you do?" She asked, worry covering her features. He gave her a sly smirk and shrugged.

"You should see the other guy." He joked, and as if on cue Flynn walked passed them with bruises covering his face, a broken nose, busted lip, every injury you could think of was there on his face. Rayne's eyes followed him before landing back on Indigo, giving him a disappointed look.

"What did he do this time?" She asked. Indigo avoided her gaze and looked at his feet. He couldn't tell her he was defending his ex, one that he was more than likely in love with. Or could he? I mean, hopefully she'd agree that no girl deserves what Flynn was threatening. He looked back at her and let out a sigh.

"He implied that he was going to rape Violet," Indigo admitted, hoping she'd see it his way. She gave him an angry look and let out an exasperated sigh.

"You put yourself in danger for her? Babe, I doubt that Violet would've stopped him if he'd tried. It's a simple face, sluts like sex, in any form." Rayne retorted, her anger turning into pity, but that was okay because Indigo was angry enough for the both of them. Indigo could feel the anger radiating off of him and he knew he was preparing to explode. No matter what, no girl deserves that, but Rayne didn't see it that way. Slowly all of the things Rayne had done and said about or to Violet became clear. She wasn't perfect, as he'd thought, but that wasn't what bothered him. What bothered him was that Violet was right. Violet had been acting like Rayne was a terrible person from the beginning and now Indigo could see it. All of it. Violet loved him and he loved her, while to Rayne, he was just a prize that she'd been parading over Violet since the beginning. Rayne dropped Indigo's hand to his side and sighed, looking up at him with pity.

"You really need to stop looking for the good in her. I understand that she was a childhood friend, but-" Indigo cut her off, licking his lips.

"You're right. Violet was a childhood friend, but she was also my first love and honestly she has stood by me a hell of a lot longer than you have, so I'm not going to stand here and listen to you insult her when she is one of the sweetest, most caring, and amazing people I know." Indigo snapped, his eyes boring into hers. Her eyes had widened and her mouth was agape in shock. He could tell she knew what was happening, but she didn't look sad at all. She looked more or less frustrated.
