Over the weekend Indigo hung out with Rayne and I worked neither of us mentioning our near kiss to anyone, but neither forgetting about it either. On Monday I walked up to the school with a huge sense of guilt, having almost kissed a guy in a relationship.

"Hey, good morning." Indigo greeted, walking up to me. I smiled softly.

"Hey. Where's Rayne?" I asked. He chuckled.

"She said she had to go talk to the office about changing her English class." He explained. I nodded, leading us to an extremely awkward silence.

"About Saturday, I'm sorry. That was out of line and I'd like to apologize for that." He spoke. I shook my head.

"No, that was my fault. I shouldn't have called you. I'm sorry." I apologized. He shrugged.

"Okay well-"

"I also want to apologize for being such a jerk lately." I announced, biting my lip."Oh, well, forgiven, but you might have to apologize to Rayne as well. You did kind of punch her in the jaw." He pointed out. I nodded.

"She punched me first... but I riled her up so I'll apologize." I chuckled. He nodded.

"Well, I really do have to go, but see you at tutoring, Vi." He smiled, rushing away.

I sat down next to Rayne in English, a frown on my face.

"Hey Rayne, can we have a civil conversation here?" I asked, biting my lip nervously. She raised her eyebrow.

"That all depends on what you're about to say." She crossed her arms over her chest. I sighed.

"I like Indigo a lot, possibly even love him-"

"You think that is going to earn you a civil conversation?" She retorted. I rolled my eyes.

"But, you make him happy and I just want him to be happy so if that means I need to try to get along with you, then I'm trying. So I'm sorry for being a bit of a jerk ever since I met you. I was just jealous." I explained, hoping she'd forgive me. She scanned me over, thinking carefully about her answer.

"You're forgiven." She responded. I let out a sigh of relief.

"If you promise that once you two finish your stupid tutorings, you're done talking to him." She added. Instantly, I felt like a ton of bricks had been dropped on me. I knew that Indigo was happy with Rayne and I knew that Indigo's happiness was all that I wanted, but that meant I had to force him out of my life. Was it worth it? I thought and instantly the answer came to mind. I'd do anything to ensure Indigo's happiness. So I nodded and faked a smile at her.

"Anything for Indigo." I agreed. She smiled and chuckled.

"Good, I guess that means we're on good terms again." She chirped. The rest of the class we didn't talk, I just sat there frowning at the thought that I was going to lose Indigo.

. . .

I arrived at the tutoring, a frown on my face and sat in the seat next to Indigo.

"Hey, Indy." I greeted, forcing a smile. He smiled back at me and waved.

"Hola. I heard you talked to Rayne." He chuckled. I nodded.

"Yeah, I did." I sighed. There was a silence before he spoke.

"Halloween is this Friday. If I recall, that's your second favorite holiday." He pointed out. I nodded.

"Right after Christmas." I chuckled. He laughed with me.

"Yeah. Are you dressing up?" He asked. I nodded.

"Of course, I always do." I smiled pridefully. He chuckled.

"What as? Wait! Don't tell me! You still dress as Cinderella every year?" He teased. I let out a laugh.

"No, I stopped that when you stopped dressing as Batman." I retorted. He nodded, laughing.

"So, what are you being?" He asked.

"A witch. I already act the part, might as well look it too." I chuckled. He laughed again, and then his eyes began to stare into mine, just as they had on Saturday. I could practically see the emotion in his eyes and I knew he could see it in mine. Slowly, I began to lean forward, closer and closer until finally our lips were pressed against each other. I felt sparks going off all around me. My heart was beating a mile a second and my hand was traveling up his back and to his hair, which I softly tugged at. Slowly, he pulled away, a hint of a smile on his face before it disappeared suddenly.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I have to go." He apologized, rushing out, leaving me there alone, the feeling of his lips still lingering on mine.

. . .

I sat on my bed, my mind going crazy with thoughts about Indigo. Did he like me? If not, why did he kiss me back? If so, why was he even with Rayne? So many questions were eating at me and the one thing I knew for certain was that I was emotionally exhausted. In a spur of the moment decision, I pulled out a coin and sighed.

"Heads, I go, tails, I leave it alone." I breathed quietly, flipping the coin in the air. I watched as it fell I'm what seemed to be slow motion, before catching it and looking at the result: heads.

. . .

I stormed up to Indigo's front door, banging on it, eager to get a response before I could change my mind. As soon as he opened it, the smell of alcohol hit me.

"Violet? Heyyyy, wha you doin here?" He asked, leaning on the door frame, trying not to fall over. I took a deep breath before speeding through my sentence.

"Indigo, I like you a lot. I don't want to run from this, not anymore. So, tell me what you want, so that way I'll know if I need to move on or if I'll get what I want." I sped through my sentence so fast that he just stared at me with a blank face.

"Oh, for fucks sake." I sighed, pulling him into an intense kiss and pushing him into his house, closing the door behind me. He melted into the kiss, placing his hands on my waist and leading us to his room. Slowly he began to undress me, and I didn't stop him even though I knew I should have since he had a girlfriend, but I didn't.
