Lindsay had almost fallen asleep in the tub but the smell of something amazing cooking perked her up, no way that's coming from my kitchen she thought, my appliances don't make that kind of smell at least they don't for me, she pulled the plug from the tub and slowly stood up being careful not to slip and using the towel rack beside the tub for support, she was no dummy, she would have been fine alone she thought.

Lindsay dried her body gently and wrapped up in her favourite fuzzy housecoat and her bunny slippers she kept to wear after her baths. She looked at her reflection in the mirror, her blonde hair pulled into a messy bun, her bruised neck noticeable, she opened her housecoat and looked at her ribs, the bruising covered both sides of her torso and the colour was a disturbing black and blue, so hot, she thought to herself and closed her robe.

She walked out of the bathroom into the best smell that had ever come out of her kitchen, she was just about to make a remark about it when Bubbie floated up to her and said in a panicked tone "oh thank god your done, you won't believe what this clown did, first he cleaned up your living room, he had to put all the magazines in just the right spot, then he straightened up your shoe rack, now he's cooking god knows what, using your things without your permission".

Oliver turned his head and looked at Lindsay, he wondered what the head tilt was all about, was she listening for something or stretching her neck, Oliver had no idea but didn't think now was the right time to ask her, but he knew it would come up again.

"Hope you like vegetable soup, I looked for some meat but your food choices are.. umm.. limited" he said. Lindsay smiled at him and replied "well that's a polite way to say I suck at grocery shopping, and your right I do" they both laughed. Lindsay didn't realize how hungry she was until she had a steaming bowl of soup in front of her, as she savoured the taste she asked Oliver how he managed to make all this from her kitchen.

He explained that he was tidying up her kitchen and saw package of vegetable soup mix laying on the counter "you know you should really keep that in a cupboard, too many germs at the sink" he said in a matter of fact tone, he continued with once he had that going he found frozen vegetable in the freezer, added that to the mix and there was lunch, " I would of served some bread with it, but you don't have any".

Lindsay found that once she had a full belly she started to feel sleepy, she stifled a yawn and thanked Oliver for the soup and drawing her a bath, Oliver noticed this and said "now, time for dessert"

Lindsay looked up at him in surprise but then smiled when he pointed to the small plate on the table, on it were two ibuprofen tablets, 400mg each and a glass of water stood be side it, "I know your a tough lady Lindsay but being in pain won't help you sleep" he said.

Lindsay had to agree and downed the tablets in one swallow, she looked at the smirk on Oliver's face as he watched her throat move with the  swallow, she playfully gave him the middle finger and smiled.

He walked over to her and gently took her by the elbow and helped her up from the chair "I can walk you know" Lindsay said "maybe I'm looking for a reason to touch you" Oliver replied casually.

He walked this way with Lindsay  over to her bed and helped her lay down and covered her up, Lindsay felt him lie down beside her and was about to protest but stopped when he put his arm gently around her, cuddled up to her and said sweetly "I'm so glad your ok, we've only just begun our adventure" and gently kissed her bruised neck, Lindsay felt happiness wash over her as sleep welcomed her.

Lindsay woke to a quiet apartment and alone in her bed, she sat up wincing but not feeling too bad, she slipped her feet into her bunnies and retied her housecoat as she shuffled over to her kitchen to get a drink of water she saw a note on her table that read, "leftover soup in the fridge, don't microwave the pot haha, xo, Oliver.
