I feel like hell today Lindsay muttered to herself as she looked at her tired blue eye in the mirror, she knew the sixth shot of tequila was too much but the music was good and the company was good so she rolled with it and had a good time. Apparently too good of a time as there was the smell of men's cologne in her room, although no man. Good lord what did I do last night? She felt a cool breeze pass by her, she turned her head towards it and asked "Bubbie, what did I do last night?" Lindsay knew she would be able to trust her best astral friend to tell her the truth, good or bad.

Bubbie was Lindsay's spirit protector, he was assigned to her the day of her birth and attached himself to her as she drew her first breath of the outside world. His only priority is to protect Lindsay and make sure she stays safe. "Well my darling party girl, you drank till closing time then decided that the party should continue at your apartment, your bachelors apartment I might add, only two people decided to join you, two men he added with a tone of distaste, and you sang tv show theme songs the whole way home, which was absolute torture by the way, even the dogs wouldn't howl along.

Lindsay pulled her long blonde hair into a messy bun and gave Bubbie a reproachful look "come on, I wasn't that bad" she said, as part of her already knew that, ya it was. "Besides my terrible singing and consumption of alcohol what happened after I brought the party home?" Lindsay knew that if anything sexual happened it was PG-13, she would feel it if was X-rated. Lindsay lived in a bachelors apartment above a small variety store, the owners Mr. and Mrs. McGowan were happy to rent the place to Lindsay in exchange for her working at the store and $200 a month, utilities included. Considering they've only asked her to work a couple of times Lindsay though she got the better end of the deal.

Bubbie floated up to her and explained all the ways that the men she brought home tried to entice her to have a bit of "fun" adding that it all came to a stop when your cupboard door starting opening and closing seemingly on their own. He hated when he had to do the typical ghost shit, banging cupboards or making things levitate, if only he could show his true talents. Lindsay didn't react to the details, simply turned to Bubbie and said "I'm going for a soak in the tub. Do Not Disturb. "As if I would even want to" said Bubbie. Lindsay was lost in the feel of the warm water and thoughts of the two men that came home with her and what might have happened if Bubbie hadn't done his parlour tricks.

She liked to think that she could handle the situation, in both of her hands and possibly her mouth. She slowly started to run her hand down her thigh and was getting ready to pleasure herself, she let out a small scream when her cell phone started ringing, aw fuck, she thought, really, now?

Detective Sara Morgan knew it was a risk calling Lindsay before noon on a Saturday but this couldn't wait. She was relieved when Lindsay picked up on the second ring. "Hey it my favourite Dic, how you doing detective?" Lindsay asked in her usual cheerful tone. Detective Sara Morgan was the youngest detective on the Brewster Bay police force, she worked hard and was proud to be a detective even if her fellow officers looked at her like a kid that's in over their head and often treated her as such. "Hey Linds, I really need your help here, I have a case I'm working on and I've come up short, I was wondering if you could, you know, do your thing and maybe get an idea on where to start my investigation?"

Lindsay had helped Sara on a few cases and they've always been able to close them. Lindsay's ability to communicate with the dead was instrumental in in solving the last case, which ended up with the killer being caught by his victim. The murdered woman appeared to Lindsay in the back seat of Sara's car beaten and bloody, she told Lindsay where to find the man who murdered her, Sara and Lindsay approached the house and observed the man dragging a carpet across the lawn.

Sara always trusted Lindsay's instincts. Lindsay agreed to meet Sara their favourite restaurant for an early supper, well now what thought Sara as she hung up the phone and looked at the file for the one hundredth time, like that was going to find the missing girls.

Lindsay hung up with Sara and decided that bath time was over, if Sara was coming to her for help with a case then this was serious. She put on her favourite pair of jogging pants and a tank top and walked into her living room/bedroom/kitchen, she loved living in a bachelor pad everything she needed literally steps away. She saw the shimmering wave of energy floating over by the window and walked over there "whatcha looking at Bubbie?" She followed his gaze down to the street and there she saw it, classic cars and hot rods were making their way down the street for the weekly car show, she wondered why his essence dulled when he looked out the window sometimes, she thought of asking him, but something always told her not to.

Trying to draw his attention away she mentions that she has a dinner date, Bubbie floated over to her and asked in an inquiring tone "who exactly are we meeting for dinner". Aha, Lindsay knew that would get his attention, "I'm meeting Sara at the Restaurant for an early dinner, she has a case she needs some assistance on. Bubbie's disappointment shimmered noticeably "really Lindsay, your going to help with another one", Lindsay ignored his comment and started looking through her drawers for something to wear, there was time for her to get ready before she had to go but she wanted to work on her pet project for a bit.

Wearing a comfy pair of jeans and a button up sweater over her tank top she flopped down on to her couch and opened up her laptop, she had just gotten started, had two folders pulled up when there was a knock at her door. "Are you fucking kidding me!!!!" she said loudly.
