Poppy jumped as she entered her room in the morning, finding Bucky sitting on the edge of her bed, "what are you doing? You almost gave me a heart attack!"

Bucky leapt to his feet, "what are you doing! Staying out all night and not telling me! I was so worried! Did you sleep with Zach?!"

Poppy groaned, taking off her shoes, "not that it's any of your business, but we only slept. He didn't pressure me." She turned back to him, poking him in the chest, "and I am an adult James Barnes! You don't get to lecture me like you're my father! Even if you are over a hundred years old!"

Bucky laughed as he watched her try to stifle her own laugh, "I was worried. That's all. Just next time text me. Please Poppy."

She nodded as Bucky brought his flesh hand up, running his fingers through her hair, "okay. I'm sorry."

He sighed, nodding as he sat back down, "he was nice though? Respectful?"

Poppy grinned, "yes. He was very nice. He didn't pressure me but insisted on me sleeping over anyways. All we did was sleep." She shrugged, "and make out a little."

Bucky laughed, "okay. Good. You need to get changed, you have agents to torture." He laughed again at her excited grin, "you're head agent now under Maria and Sharon. You will be training, sometimes with Steve. Is that going to be a problem?"

Poppy shrugged, "of course not."

Bucky nodded, "okay then. I'll see you later doll."

Steve watched Poppy walk into the training room for the first time in her black cat suit, her hair pulled back on the back of her head. She was not the same timid girl that stood in front of him weeks ago. She was calm and confident as he watched her take her place at the head of the recruits as he stood off to the side. He chuckled softly to himself as a few of the over confident men stepped up to her, only to end up on their backs. He looked up as Bucky came to stand at his side, "hey Buck."

"Steve."

Steve sighed, "you can't still be mad at me. I'm sorry. I'll apologize to Poppy."

Bucky nodded, "you will." He turned towards Steve, placing his hand on his shoulder, "though it may be too late, she spent the night at Zach's place."

"What?!" Steve watched as everyone turned to look at him as he shouted. He blushed, turning away from everyone, looking at Bucky, "what do you mean?"

Bucky shrugged, "I mean she didn't come home last night. When I asked her about it this morning, she said she spent the night at Zach's. What do you expect, you've been a jerk to her since she arrived and you've done nothing but push her away."

Steve groaned as Bucky walked away. He turned back to the recruits as Sharon Carter came to stand next to him.

She motioned to Poppy, "she's really great. I certainly wouldn't want to spar with her."

Steve chuckled, "yeah. Me either." He looked at Sharon, "how are you Sharon?"

Poppy watched Steve interacting with Sharon as Sharon grinned at him, placing her hand on his arm. She groaned, feeling jealous Steve reciprocated, smiling back at her. She looked past them as she saw a familiar face, smiling as she ran to him. "Rick!"

"Katy Kat." Rick Mason chuckled as he felt Poppy collide with him as he wrapped his arms around her, spinning her in a circle before setting her back on her feet. He brought his hand up to her cheek, "how are you little one?" He looked up to see Steve glaring at him, "everyone treating you okay?"

Poppy nodded, "I'm fine Rick. What are you doing here?"

He shrugged, "I promised both Yelena and Nat that I would check on you when I could. I had some free time so I thought I'd come to see how you're settling in."

Steve watched the interaction between Poppy at the dark haired man. He felt jealous, seeing that they seemed to be more than friendly as she hugged him and smiled at him. He overheard her asking him if he wanted to go out that night. He groaned, looking over at Sharon as Poppy started to approach, "hey, you want to go out tonight Sharon?"

Poppy felt her heart sink to her stomach as she overheard Steve asking Sharon out on a date in front of her.

Sharon grinned, "I'd love that Steve. I can't wait!"

Steve watched Sharon walk away, past Poppy who looked hurt. He reached his hand out to her, "Poppy."

She shook her head, turning back to Rick, "come on. I have to take a shower." She took him to Bucky's room who stood up from his bed as they entered, "Bucky, this is Rick Mason. He was friends with Nat and is friends with Yelena. I invited him to go out with us tonight? You and Sam up for it?"

Bucky nodded, smiling, "sure doll. Did you want me to invite Steve?"

"No. I was going to, but he apparently is going out with Sharon tonight."

"What?! Steve doesn't even like Sharon."

Poppy shrugged, "I heard it with my own ears. Anyways. I have to shower. Can Rick hang out here until I'm done?"

Bucky nodded, "of course." He grabbed her hand as she left his room, making her turn back to him in the hallway, "are you okay?"

She smiled, "I'm fine Bucky, really. Steve doesn't want to be with me. And I really like Zach. I think I'll invite him out with us tonight? Is that okay?"

"Sure."
