Poppy sighed as she sat with Steve in the kitchen at the counter so they could watch Lily in the other room. "Don't you think we should talk about this?"

Steve shrugged, sitting next to her, "of course. What's the matter?"

She groaned, "I don't know. We just decided we would try to be together and now you want to bring a child into the mix? Don't you think it's going to be complicated enough with just you and me?"

"I didn't ask for this to happen Poppy. But it did, and I won't run from it."

She nodded as she stood up, pacing. "You are retired Steve. I am not! How are we supposed to have a kid?"

Steve chuckled, grabbing her hand to make her stop, pulling her to him. He positioned her between his legs, "I never asked you to give up anything. Like you said, I am retired. I can stay here with her for the day to day stuff. And you can move in permanently and go on missions when needed. We could work it out Poppy."

She sighed, resting her arms around his neck, "we went from one day not being together to the next having a family."

He grinned, "family and love sometimes comes from the most unexpected of places." He brought his hand up to her hair, "we'll figure it out, okay?"

She nodded, "okay. I love you Steve."

He moaned, "I love you Poppy. Katerina." He went to kiss her but was interrupted by Lily coming into the kitchen.

"Can I have macaroni and cheese?"

Steve laughed, "of course. I'll make you some."

Poppy pulled away from him, "I'll go get her room set up. I put her in my room. Since my room is now your room, right?"

Steve grinned, "yes. We need to go shopping for you too. You need clothes here and stuff for you."

Poppy sighed, "we will."

He watched her leave the kitchen as Lily went back into the living room to watch tv.

Steve rolled over to see Poppy getting dressed. "What are you doing?"

She laughed, "I have to go to work, remember?" She looked at the monitor to see Lily still asleep. "Give her a kiss for me."

He nodded, grabbing her hand, pulling her onto the bed with him as he pinned her under him, "I will. Give me one first."

Poppy giggled, "do I have to?"

Steve laughed, "yes." He grinned as she squealed under him before he kissed her. "I love you Katerina."

"I love you too Steve. I'll see you later? I'll come back to sleep here?"

He nodded, "you better. You're okay with living here with me? Permanently?"

Poppy sighed, "yes. Head first, no regrets."

Steve grinned, "good. See, you were worried about us not being able to have a family."

"Yeah yeah." She laughed as she stood up from the bed. "When does she meet Uncle Bucky?"

Steve sat up, "I don't know. I don't want to overwhelm her."

"Or Bucky?"

He laughed, getting up to get dressed, "that too."

Bucky watched Poppy walk into the compound, "and where have you been? You left here the other day after having Steve sleep in your bed and then you disappear for two days."

Poppy sighed, "come on." She led him to her room, "turn around."

Bucky chuckled, turning away from her to look at the door.

Poppy got undressed, changing into her cat suit to train. "I've been with Steve the last two days. I broke up with Zach and Steve and I are together and gonna see if it works out."

Bucky grinned as he turned around to see her zipping up the suit. He heard her grunt as he wrapped his arms around her, lifting her up, "you will work out. I'm happy for you guys."

She laughed, "okay. Put me down Bucky."

He nodded, setting her on her feet, "what else? I can tell that there is more."

She shrugged, "I'm moving in and I'll come back here when needed and for missions when needed. And... there's more. But I don't really have the time to get into it at the moment."

"Okay?" Bucky stood as he watched Poppy just leave him standing in her room alone.

Steve watched Lily's face light up as they watched Poppy finishing up her training. "See, Poppy is an Avenger. Like I used to be."

"Poppy is so cool!"

Steve laughed, "I used to be Captain America."

Lily shrugged, "but you aren't anymore."

He shook his head, setting her on her feet as Poppy noticed them.

Poppy laughed as Lily ran to her, lunging into her arms. "What are you doing here little one?"

"Steve brought me. I wanted to see where you worked. I didn't know you were an Avenger!"

She nodded as Steve approached, kissing her on the cheek, "I am." She dismissed the agents as she saw Bucky coming into the training room.

"What the hell is going on? I leave you guys alone for two days and you have a kid?"

Lily looked at Bucky, "he said a bad word."

Steve laughed, "that he did." He took Lily from Poppy as he motioned to Bucky, "this is Uncle Bucky. Lily here lost her mom and well," he shrugged, "I'm trying to adopt her."

Bucky grinned, "that's so great Steve. I'm happy for you."

"Why do you have a metal arm?"

Bucky smiled at Lily, "well I lost my arm. Now I have a cool metal one. It's nice to meet you Lily."

Lily only nodded as Steve set her on her feet. They watched her inspect his arm as Bucky held it up. She giggled as she grabbed onto it as he lifted it, lifting her off the ground. "I like it."

Bucky laughed as he set her back down, "I'm glad you approve." He motioned between the three of them, "how is this going to work?"

Poppy sighed as she looked up at Steve, "we're still figuring that out."

Bucky nodded, "and you will."

Steve smiled as he kissed her on the top of her head.

"So can I do what you do?"

Poppy looked down at Lily, kneeling in front of her, "what do you mean?"

Lily shrugged, "I want to learn how to fight like you!"

Poppy chuckled, "oh. I mean, we can talk about it with Steve. I don't see why not. Having a widow and a super soldier as your guardians was never going to be normal."

Steve laughed as he watched Poppy take Lily to a punching bag, showing her a proper stance. He felt Bucky nudge his shoulder, making him look at him.

"Look at you. Are you happy now?"

Steve grinned, "I am. I'm sorry for being a jerk Buck."

Bucky shrugged, "I forgive you."
