It felt so incredibly weird.

Being back in school.

Peter was almost expecting there to be a huge crowd out front again all hating him for what happened with Mysterio.

But instead it just felt like he was back where he first started when he came to Midtown freshman year.

Complete anonymity and essentially being the same loser he was before he met Lennon.

For the first time since properly reintroducing himself to his friends, he felt completely alone, walking along the hallways, unsure of what to do getting into school so late in the game.

He didn't get too far though before he saw Lennon laughing with her friends, looking as beautiful as ever.

He wanted nothing more than to go to her and thank her, just hold her for giving him his life back- no matter how different it was now.

He was just glad to be back in school... which is something he never thought he'd say.

"Watch where you're going, newbie."

If there was something Peter could count on, it was in Flash being a dick in whatever the circumstance.

"Sorry, man," Peter smiled, not being able to help but be happy at the other sense of familiarity of his life before Mysterio.

"Yeah, you better be."

"Walk away, Eugene."

Peter instantly perked up at the sound of her voice, smiling more when he turned to face her.

"Oh god. Are you seriously taking in yet another loser to your squad? I get you're a charitable woman but-"

"I'm not going to ask again," she warned him, making him gulp nervously- even though he tried not to show it in front of his friends.

"Whatever."

When he walked away, Lennon crossed her arms with a small smirk on her face, "Regret not letting me come with you on your first day of school yet?"

"No, because it made actually seeing you in the hallway for the first time so much better."

"Well okay then, you giant cheeseball," Lennon giggled, linking her arms with him as they started to walk down the hall, "Welcome to Midtown High. Got any questions?"

"Now that you mention it, I would really love a tour."

"Then a tour you shall get," she beamed.

Peter had to admit, he was a pretty good actor since he had to pretend that everything Lennon was telling him was brand new.

He was still glad though that things didn't change in the school despite his not being there.

In the end, that made sense considering how little time he spent participating in any school activities. His main focus has always been Spider-Man, Lennon, May and his friends. School was just an afterthought but now he definitely appreciated it more since he lost it for that short time.
