"Tilak kal hai, aur tu aise room main rahegi?" Kairav nudged the girl who was in the blanket, "Aaru, kya kar rahi hai baccha, you know Akshu won't do anything without you. She had some fitting issues with her lehenga and then..."
"Bhaiya, please, mera bilkul mann nahi hai." Aarohi muttered from under the covers, "and what is the use bhai, I am the cause of disappointment for everyone. Might as well drown in my own disappointment for the entire day."
Kairav removed the covers at once from her face, revealing a messy hair and troubled Aarohi, "thapad lagunga ek aur baar aise kaha toh." He warned her, but raised his hand nevertheless only for Aarohi to groan aloud and sit back in her bed. "Get ready, Aaru. I cannot go with Akshu, Tara has a slight back pain and I need to wait with her."
"Then I'll be with bhabhi," Aarohi suggested, shaking her head, "but you tag along with Akshu and the other ladies. I do not want to get out of the room today."
"Par..."
"Please bhaiya, please, mujhe nahi jaana hai. Atleast aap toh samjo, iss family main aur koi toh mujhe samajna nahi chahta."
On that note Kairav gave up, and instead sat down beside the girl with a sigh, "don't say that, Aaru. You know we all love you a lot, and especially Bade Papa, and that is the only reason he yells at you because he worries for you."
Aarohi shook her head, again with a scoff, "please, Bade Papa mujhse pyaar nahi karte aur na karenge. I do not fall into his 'ideal daughter' category." Kairav wrapped his hand around her shoulder, and Aarohi leaned in her brother's embrace, "No one loves me bhai, aap bhi itne busy ho gaye ho. Sochti hu Akshu ki shaadi ke baad ghar se bhaag jau. I don't like it here."
"Tu chali jayegi, Akshu ke baad, toh main toh marr jaunga..."
"Bhai please..."
"I know I am a little too busy with Tara and the baby, but for me, Akshu and you will be my first kids, yes?" Aarohi nodded, placing her head on his chest, Kairav's comforting smell always made her feel better, after all she did spend all her crying nights with him. "And if you want to leave the house, feel free to do so," The moment he said that Aarohi looked at him, "No I am serious, but I want you to leave gracefully, not run away from these problems. You want to live somewhere else, I'll sponsor everything, but you will confront all your emotions first and then leave. Because baccha," Kairav held her face, "inner peace matters, not the place where you live and if you are not happy from within, toh tu kaha bhi jaaye, tu khush nahi reh payegi."
Aarohi nodded, and Kairav wiped the tears from her eyes, and kissed her forehead. "Aap itne aache kyu hu bhaiya?"
"Abh kya karu," Kairav raised his invisible collar, "bas, Kaira ka pehle beta jo hu."
"Ohhoo," Aarohi smiled, giving in for another hug. "Akshu se maine theek se baat nahi ki kal, kya karu bhaiya, I cannot tell her anything because..."
"You fear she might take it in the wrong way or that it might affect her negatively." Kairav completed for her, "I know, trust me, you have her, I had both of you, so multiply that feeling with two."
"Toh aapne kaise handle kiya? You must have felt so alone with the attention towards us two girls, how did you overcome this feeling of being sidelined?"
Kairav smiled, asking her to come closer, "ek secret hai, sunnegi?"
Aarohi leaned in, wanting to know how he handled everything so well.
"I had someone to share every feeling of mine," He winked, at her, holding her hand, "Told her everything that kept troubling me, heard her tales too and let this emotional baggage be shared between us and by doing this, it was easier to live you know."
