How to fall out of love from someone?
Neil sighed, exiting the application and gulped, the correct search title should be how to fall out of love from an extremely beautiful, and mysterious girl who also happens to be the sister-in-law of his brother in twenty-four hours.
Why couldn't anyone write a blog on this?
"Bhaiya, where are you lost? Humari performance hai isske baad!"
Neil nodded, absentmindedly and realised he was now with his clan of cousins, and his brother and his fiancé were seated in the middle of the crowd, looking pleasantly elegant and really pretty. Abhimanyu was wearing a black kurta over his trousers and particularly looked too handsome and on his right was Akshara, pretty like a blue periwinkle, shades of blue clearly highlighting her features well. Everyone were well dressed, including the banquet they were in and the hall was decorated with mirrors and everything dazzled when those shiny objects reflected the beauty of the other streamers and decors.
However, Aarohi was nowhere to be seen, Neil had his eyes on the bride's family table where the seat next to Kairav was empty and it was empty since half an hour now. He had half a mind to ask Akshara where her sister was but then one of the pointers in the blog he had read was to not act on his feelings or his thoughts and divert them.
So he diverted his thoughts and tried indulging into the tasty snacks at the counter, but he could not eat now that his heart was so heavy, he headed to check on the decorations, but the pretty decor and bright lights reminded him of how prettier Aarohi's smile was and then when he headed to Nishta and the others, they all asked him where Aarohi was.
To which his thoughts landed right where they had started.
On Dr. Aarohi Goenka, the girl who was missing and the girl he was missing.
"Haan, pata hai, Nishta," Neil assured her, more than her, he was reminding himself to not fall again and to only focus on the performance. But when he took a deep breath to focus up, he saw a hand waving at him from the other side of the stage and it took him another second to realise it was Aarohi who was asking for him.
Nishta gave him five minutes, while the wedding planning team started the sangeet with the performers especially hired for the couple by the two families, to relive their love story while Neil sneakily walked towards the green room, where lay Aarohi and a few others who were helping her.
To say he was awe-struck would be an understatement, he was everything struck at the sight of the heavenly girl dressed in light colours, her long hair playing with the wind and the dupatta of hers, touching the floor, leaving some of its sparkle as its trail while the lehenga she wore, simply made her look like a real princess.
"Earth to Neil," Aarohi snapped in front of him, with a smile, "Earth to Neil," She said again, and Neil finally took the breath he had been holding and looked at the girl from her down to up, until she frowned. "Why are you gawking like that?" She asked, as the hair artist helped with her hair, another girl was pinning her dupatta.
"You look..." Neil hesitated, meeting her eyes, and Aarohi smiled, "you look..." but before anything, he just nodded, not finishing the statement, much to Aarohi's disappointment.
"Rukh kyu gaye?" She asked, tilting her head, and met Neil's cute gaze. He looked really handsome in his tucked hair, and blue sherwani. "I look?"
"Mujhe laga tumhe compliments pasand nahi hai?" He chuckled and averting his gaze from her, another point in that blog said to not meet their eyes.
Aarohi had no answer to that, he was right, she was not someone to be fond of flattery but she would lie if she said she did not get a little sad at his lack of compliment towards her.
