"Ye tu taiyaar hoke kaha jaa rahi hai?"
Aarohi smiled at Akshara's reflection in the mirror, "date pe."
"Wahi, room wala?" Akshara was on the bed, head on the bedrest, after a minor nap, she felt a lot better but not too much to step out of the room. However when she woke up, she was surprised to see Aarohi looking pleasantly happy and pretty in her tailcut yellow kurti over her blue jeans, her hair neatly tied and a smile on her face. "Listen, kal sangeet hai," Akshara sat on the edge of her bed now, "please Aaru, no alcohol, no night-stands, aur jaldi aana, okay?"
Aarohi raised her hand in surrender, and nodded, "yes mumma," and Akshara chuckled, walking towards her sister and she hugged her from behind.
"Meri Aaru aaj itni pyaari lag rahi hai," Akshara beamed at her sister, "nazar na laage meri jaan ko."
"Akshu yaar," But Aarohi's childish groan was ignored, as Akshara used her dried up mascara to apply a teeka to ward of the evil eye and smiled at her sister, "tu na sacchi, itni buddhi ho gayi hai."
"Haan haan, buddhi hi sahi, teri tarah buddhu nahi hu," Akshara then pulled her hair-clip and down cam Aarohi's curls, playing on her shoulders, "Khule baalon main behena tu aur bhi aachi lagti hai, jo bhi hai, woh toh behosh ho jayega."
Aarohi chuckled, holding Akshara's hands which was on her shoulders, "CPR kar lungi," Aarohi winked at her and they laughed, hugging each other and Aarohi exhaled, feeling better lately, especially with the happenings of last night and the event of this date.
"Abh jaau? Warna usse lagega ki maine usse ditch kar diya." Aarohi headed towards the door, and Akshara headed towards the bed, "aur haan, mere jaane ke baad mere bed pe kuch karna mat..."
"Main kyu..."
"Abhimanyu cough cough Birla..."
But before Akshara's pillow could hit her, Aarohi shut the door and laughed, moving towards the lobby, to tease Akshara and to make her yell at her was always her favourite pastime, "Hasti kyu nahi rehti ho, zyaada khoobsurat lagti ho, chipkali."
Neil's sudden soft voice, and his calm personality made Aarohi to snap out of her trance and tilt her head at the man in front of him. He looked pretty neat in his casuals, the happy-go-lucky vibes radiating in his jacket over jeans attire and Aarohi loved how down to earth he was when it came to presentation. Being a doctor, Aarohi had met a lot of people, many being too fake for their wealth and esteem and rarer people like Neil, who held a lot of royalty but no pride.
"Waise, tum bhi theek hi lag rahe ho," She replied with a silly shrug and Neil chuckled, shaking his head.
"Tum kabhi bhi compliment ko theek se nahi le sakti right?"
Aarohi smiled, "I feel compliments to be a form of flattery, and a motive attached to it."
"Main tumhe iss janam main toh nahi samaj sakta, chipkali," Neil answered as they walked out of the Hotel and onto the roads, "saath janam bhi kam pad jayenge."
Aarohi looked at him, his grin was enough for her to hide a little blush behind her cold exterior, "very subtle, Mr. Birla, very subtle. But Aarohi janmo tak saath chalne waali main se nahi hai."
They halted a cab, sitting behind as Neil tilted his head, "jaha tak chalogi, main peeche peeche aa jaunga,"
"Tum bohot bade flirt ho," Aarohi shook her head, pointing her finger at him, "you sure you had no girlfriend in the last couple of years, because honestly, mera dil pathar ka nahi hota toh tumhari baaton mein aa jaati."
