Miko's POV

Gosh physics class is boring. How can they survive this.

I might as well go to the library after this class and read something. Now that I think about it. Today is election day for the student council. I'm curious about the nominees.

Finally finished with the classes. I went straight ahead in the library, leaving Lumine and the others behind. They were just playing on their phones anyway. I was accompanied by Xiao and Sara. They were with their partners, while I was alone.

This is their positon:

Lisa is the one in charge of the library. She's a little strict, to put it politely. They are studying, whereas I am reading random romantic books. What I'm reading right now is interesting. Two generals from different nations are at war. But because they are in love and cannot be together, they are forced to treat each other as enemies.

There is a lot of drama in it, but it fades after a few years. They reunited when the war ended. They left and traveled far away from their homelands. They are now living happily ever after. After all of the dramas that I won't detail, the finale was satisfactory.

Now that I think about it, I didn't see Ei when we went to get Kokomi from their classroom. Is she running late or.... absent? I was only looking forward to Monday because of her. But she isn't even there.

Should I contact her? No, we don't want her to believe I'm overly attached to her. Should I simply ask Ayaka? Ugh, knowing her, she'd think it differently.

Wait a minute, I can ask Sara! After all, Ei is her cousin, so I'm sure she knows where she is. But.... Are they close each other? For the love of... Why am I bothered by Ei?! That is to say.... Maybe she is unable to attend class for any reason! So why am I anxious as to where she is and how she is doing? For the love of archons. It's as if I like her!

Do I... really? No, that's impossible. Let's just read this book.

"Hey there, cutie"

"Oh my. You surprised me. Ms. Librarian" I smiled.

"I'm sorry, but you seem like you're going to die when you're... hitting your head on the table; is there something bothering you?" Lisa inquired.

There is a lot of troubling me!

"Oh. Yes, kind of," I replied.

"Let's talk about it later at lunch because we don't want to bother other students by... gossiping some stuff," she chuckled and returned to her place.

Well.... I might as well talk about it with someone. This feeling of mine...is confusing.

*

"So, what's bothering you, sweetie?" she asked. We are still in the library. There is no one here as it is lunch time. "Are you sure you should be calling me... that? Wouldn't your girlfriend be mad?" I asked. "Oh, she knows about it. I only call you that because, hmm.... I consider you as one of my close friends," she smiled. So... she calls anyone like that as long it's her close friend. "Alright," I replied.

"Spill," she said, sipping her tea. "Well, I have this friend who I met on the first day of school and umm... we got sort of close? Her friends are good friends of mine, so... that's how we got close," I said.
