Sara's POV:

"First, we need to figure out who knows more about the accident back then; there's no way Ei could have forgotten an important person in her life," I explained.

My point is that Ei may suffer from memory loss as a result of the car accident that occurred when they were kids. There is no information regarding who was in the car, however word has spread that the Raiden's eldest daughter did not survive the vehicle crash.

I do wonder if Miko knows who Ei is.

"I only recall part of my memories, but they're hazy, and it appears like my relationship with the girl is.... kind of um..."

"You had a special relationship with that girl, and you even wanted to marry her, based on what Makoto told me," I explained.

Ei's cheeks flushed. I suppose the feelings are still there. "Now ponder who knows more about the accident," I said.

*

"Miko's mom. When we were at their house, her eyes first landed on me and her face was... shocked. As if she had known me for so long," Ei said. She told us everything they talked about, and Miko's mother is most likely hiding something.

"Let's avoid Miko's mom; there's no way she'll tell us, and knowing her, she might want us to figure it out ourselves; remember, Miko inherited his cunning nature from her," I replied. I've known her for years and know how she works and behaves.

"Sasayuri!" Ayaka shouted, making us flinch. "Y-you're right! Sasayuri was with us when Makoto was still here, and he may have known about the accident!" Ei exclaimed.

"Where is he?" I inquired. "Outside, at the car; I'll call him," she remarked as she walked out the door to call Sasayuri.

*

"Hello, ladies," he remarked as he sat down next to us. He had a frightened expression on his face as he stared at us. "Relax," I said, chuckling. "We only want to ask about the accident back then, and maybe you'll cooperate with us," I said with a smile.

Sasayuri was shock when he heard the accident. He knows something. "I...i do want to help you, but I can't. I promised someone that I'll leave Ei to figure it out," he said. "And who did you promised?" Ayaka asked. "M-my sister," he said.

That woman, she was already a step ahead of us. "Thank you," I said, "but are you ready to offer us a few hints?" "Perhaps just ask.... three questions; that's all I can do for you," he said.

"Tell us who was in the car, and don't leave anything out," Ei instructed. "I was supposed to be the driver at the time, but I had an urgent matter to attend to, so I found a replacement first," he added. "It was Ms. Ei and her sister, and.... a girl their age," he said.

So.... Miko may have forgotten about it as well. "About this girl, do we know her? I mean, have we encountered her in this... time of year?" I inquired. "You...have," he responded.

"Does the girl have those.... lovely eyes that like a fox, a clever demeanor that I find bothersome, but that's what I adore about the girl?" Ei asked.

This may lead Sasayuri to admit that Miko is Ei's childhood friend.

"Yes," said Sasayuri, smiling.

Ayaka looked at me as though she knew who it was, and I did as well. Sasayuri stood up and said that he would be waiting at the car.

"We were right. It's Miko," Ayaka said and Ei groaned in pain.

*

"I-I'm ok now, and... I remembered.... some pieces of my memories," she replied, rubbing her head with her fingers. "But.... why would Father and the others, even Miko's mother, keep it from me?" she asked.

Something is still missing. "This is my assumption; there is no proof to back my speculation," I explained.

"Uncle may be aware of your relationship with Miko; I believe he is keeping you away from Miko in order to prevent you from entering into that type of relationship; after all, after Makoto... passed away, you will be the next heir, and he believes that being in a relationship with a girl.... he believes that the Raiden's will come to an end because you cannot have a.... child,"

"This is only my speculation," I added.

"What if you were right?" Ei wondered. "What should I do if your assumption was correct?" she asked.

"What else is there to say? Fight for your love, you've found your long-lost childhood friend... I mean, lover," Ayaka giggled, and Ei flushed..

"W-what if she doesn't remember me anymore? And that relationship we had back then might not be the same as it is now, we are now grownups, and many years have gone since that accident," Ei said.

"Miko looks at you with a heart in her eyes, and she even makes you a dango just for you! Only for you! You told me back then that she said you might be special to her, right? Don't lose hope, just be with her, and we will have your back. We will figure out how to solve the problem with your father," Ayaka said.

"I...I'll make her remember," Ei said. "That's my girl... er.... Miko's girl," Ayaka laughed.
