Ei's POV:

"I will not go back, that is all what I have to say," I said.

"You damn brat! I have given you everything you needed and wanted, and this is how you repay me?" he said as he slammed the table. "Is this what I wanted?! Forcing me to marry someone I don't even love! Do you think she'll be okay with this if Makoto is here?" I yelled back, and he became silent.

"This is my final warning. If you haven't returned by Friday, you will see that your precious friend's life will crumble," he added as he stood up.

Precious friend of m-mine? "What do you mean, Father," I said.

"Was it... Miko?" he said. "From what I've heard, you seem to care a lot about that girl," he added. "Father, don't you dare touch her!" I yelled. "Then come back by Friday if you don't want her life to fall apart; this is my final warning, Ei," he added as he walked away.

Fuck!

Why.... Why does he need to involve her?! I can't involve her in this! She has nothing to do with this!

Think, Ei.

How.... how do I deal with this, Makoto.

I... i need you here. I can't do this alone.

Sara's POV:

"Excuse me, Kokomi, I'll just take this call," I said as I stood up and moved away from her. We're in a library right now. She invited me and...I can't refuse.

It was Ayaka who was calling so I answered it.

"What is it," I asked. "I need your help... about Ei," she said.

"Let's discuss this in person; I'll text you the location and you can meet me there," I stated as I hung up the phone. When I returned to our table, she was staring at me with a worried face.

"What?" I said. "You look... troubled after the c-call," she said. "Oh, I apologize. It's just.... a family matter," I smiled a little to reassure her. I don't even know why do I have to reassure her. I just feel like I need to.

"I see. I-is there anything I can do to help you?" she inquired. Let's just not.... Tell her about Ei's situation..

"Well, just follow me and reduce my stress," I smiled. Did.... She misunderstood it? She is obviously blushing. "I... I will try my best," she said, smiling. She's incredibly adorable when she's shy . Why in the archons I continuously complementing her on my mind?!

Put it on your large brain, Sara, that you can't fall in love.

I invited Ayaka to my apartment. We may chat privately here without fear of being eavesdropped on.

Ayaka told me everything that had happened, and I'm sure my stubborn uncle blackmailed Ei into agreeing to something she couldn't refuse.

"I can't think of anything to help her," she said. I have a feeling Miko.... will be involved in this. "I'm sure Miko is involved in this; I'm not sure, but I'm sure Ei cares strongly for her," I added.

"I think the same," she sighed. "We can't do anything for now, let's wait Ei to call us. She said she will call you, right?" I said. She nodded and minutes after Ayaka's phone rang, and it was Ei calling. Ayaka putted it on speaker.

"I... I don't know what to do, Ayaka," Ei said. "What do you mean you don't know what to do, Ei? You usually find a solution," I said. She was taken aback that I was with Ayaka, but she kept talking.

"He... involved Miko," she said. I looked at Ayaka, and we were right. Miko is involved. "What threat did he make against you?" Ayaka inquired. "He said if I don't return by Friday, he'll.... make Miko's life crumble. I can't do that to her! She has nothing to do with this!" Ei said.

Ei's childhood friend.... She reminds me of Miko. "Ei... don't you think Miko is... familiar?" I asked. Ei was deafeningly quiet and said. "I... I do. How did you know?" she said. "All right, I'll go into your past, and this will undoubtedly bring up those painful memories," I stated. "OK," she said.

Ayaka was puzzled; I will explain it to her later. "I'll send you my address, and we'll talk about it here. We can't trust that... apartment of yours, it may be bugged," I explained. It's preferable to be careful. The phone call ended, and I told Ayaka that Ei had a childhood friend whom she cared deeply for. Makoto told me about that girl, and I'm sure Uncle knows who Miko is, and I feel Miko... is Ei's long-lost childhood friend.
