Lustfulness

WHEN I LOCKED EYES WITH MY OWN REFLECTION, AN IMAGE WAS brought back to me. An image that I knew I'd been suppressing for a very long time. But it was somehow more intense. As if I was actually living through it again. Everything felt more life-like than when it actually occurred. Why was it so hard to let these memories go?

I shook my head, letting my hands brush through my recently-styled hair. I shared another gaze with myself, checking for anything out of place. When nothing seemed to be undone, I grabbed my small purse and left my bedroom.

Riley sprung up from her seat, with a smile spreading wide across her face. I felt my cheeks heat up with embarrassment and she could only drop compliments.

''You know, if I didn't have a boyfriend and you weren't faking a relationship, I'd totally date you'' She giggled and I did too, but with a certain edge to my laughter. It was always strange to hear someone else say it.

''We should be going now'' I announced and she nodded. I waited for her to be outside and locked the door behind me. I sighed at the fresh air hitting my face abruptly. A feeling I didn't I'd missed these sleeping days took over me.

The car ride was filled with Riley cracking jokes about Alex, with the constant hope of making me feel better somehow. I wasn't able to fake my laughter to them when I was actually feeling a lot better than I was before.

We eventually arrived at a large white house, with dark windows and bright lights flashing from them. I was amazed by the size of it. Riley parked the car and removed the key from the ignition. I opened my door, waiting for her to finish glaring at herself through the mirror.

With a smile, she exited the car. I sighed and she knew exactly what was was coursing through my veins. That feeling of emptiness caused by Alex's evident lies was undeniable and making itself abundantly clear. She rubbed my shoulder, like always and we entered the place.

I was a stranger to all of these people, so of course, almost every pair of eyes was on me. Especially men's, which I could only feel intimidated by. Even if I tried, I wouldn't be able to lay my eyes on any other man whose name wasn't Alexander. My growing desire for him was the main obstacle for any male watching me.

''Elaine, this is my friend, Alice'' Riley smiled, snapping me out of my evident trance. I locked gazes with a sweet-looking girl, with brown abundant hair. Her round face had a tint of light pink, her cheeks were noticeably flushed even with the flashing lights.
