HE GRUMBLED AND SLIGHTLY MOVED AROUND AS I TRIED TO ATLEAST get his legs on theother side of the bed. His back faced me, his leather jacket still on from a couple of hours ago. He seemed to me mumbling something against the silky white bedsheets, something I couldn't pay attention to as I was still struggling to get his body on the other side.
When he shifted into a different posture more abruptly than the others, I let go of his legs. Fearful of him waking up, I widened my eyes. After a few seconds, I realized I needed to move faster to avoid another scare. I couldn't get his right leg away from where I was going to sleep. Knowing there was no other option but to sleep on the floor, I took the difficult decision to spend the night in his bed.
My thoughts couldn't fathom how someone could be swallowed in such a profound slumber as he was at the time. I was getting frustrated as I waited for him to turn around on his own, but he didn't even twitch in the minutes I waited.
''How come yer so weak?'' A deep raspy voice mumbled against the sheets, making me jump and aggressively let go of his leg. I remained in the corner of the room when I watched him awaken from what I assumed was a peaceful dream.
''What the fuck'' I furrowed my eyebrows, amusing him instead of expressing my anger at him. He chuckled and sat at the edge of the bed with his elbows on his knees.
''Could've just woken meh up, darlin' '' Alex sighed, with a mocking face that with the seconds started to look more and more punishable.
''You're scary when you sleep'' As we remained in silence and we let my words sink in, I realized how moronic I sounded.
''Why were yeh moving meh around anyway?'' He asked and I grew embarrassed. It was very noticeable since he seemed to be more interested. I hesitated for some minutes, weighing my lies and excuses.
''Because there's only one bed and Miles took the couch and told me I couldn't sleep on the floor'' I crossed my arms over my chest, avoiding his teasing gaze on me.
''Look, I'm not very fond of yeh but that doesn't mean I won't let yeh sleep beside meh'' The frustration bristling from him made me confused. And for the first time in all of the times I had been with him, he rolled his eyes just like I used to do almost all the time he said something I disliked.
