''FORWARD, LIFT YOUR CHIN UP HIGHER, CONCENTRATED face''Scott, my new modeling coach ordered, signaling with his hands as I moved my feet forward. He seemed more pleased with my walk this time.
''Now, turn around, but not too fast, same face and same posture, don't change a thing'' I nodded softly before doing as told. Once my back was facing them, I heard him hum, deep in thought apparently.
''You changed your posture, sweetheart'' The female voice of his assistant spoke up. I bit my lip, embarrassed, turning my face back to them. Scott still looked trapped in his thoughts, examining me carefully. I deliberated for a moment as to what to do.
''I'll try again'' I said sternly, heaving a sigh to reposition myself in the direction I was before, my feet aligned, my face blank. However, once I turned around it was hopeful. My last wish was to do something wrong. Quite the contrary.
''Better, but let's practice this same movement more'' Scott said, seeming more collected than he was. I concealed a smile, giving him a thumbs-up, avoiding any move that would alter the posture that he already liked.
My feet kept turning from front to back multiple times, attempting with my whole body to follow the advice he'd been handing out to me. My legs began to feel sore, as would be expected after such a long time keeping them straight in a line, only slightly readjusting whenever I switched directions.
''You're getting it. I think you deserve a break, good job'' Scott smiled, crossing his arms over his chest. I grinned, walking off from the practicing stage. I had to grab onto the edges for support as my legs did not feel stable at the moment.
''If you do that whenever you are on stage, trust me a lot of opportunities will come'' Lauren, his assistant, placed her hand on my shoulder, guiding me to the nearest chair. I looked up to her and nodded politely, very grateful for the support.
''Thank you, I will keep practicing'' I assured her, placing my hands on my feet to soothe the pain somehow.
I looked at the floor, assembling any intrusive thoughts. Especially Alex's memory and the happenings from this week. Everything around me seemed to be dancing by so fast, at its own pace. Yet, I was put in the same place all the time. As if I was stuck in the past still. It was something that fueled my body with frustration.
The movement of several people around the place. The lights went off every once in a while. Several hours I've spent here. It all felt foreign to me. Like if instead of the beginning this was the end of something. I could only sit here and watch everyone go by with so much on their heads but nothing there.
