𝐈𝐍 𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐇𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐘, 𝐈 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐅𝐔𝐒𝐄𝐃 about the category in which this 'date' fell into.

Was it another fake date to maintain appearances that I had completely forgotten about because of the recent occurrences in our dynamics?

Or was it...

Oh

Could this be an actual date? Without all of the unnecessary signs of affection that made us both incredibly uncomfortable? Without having to look expressively content with the other?

I mean, I definitely was very happy with Alex and his recent view on my side. But that happiness we had to feign in public was excessive.

"Elaine?" I heard the jingle of keys falling on the nearest table and Alex came into view. He was looking down at a piece of paper in his hands, completely distracted.

"Are yeh ready?" He asked before looking up inadvertently.

His gaze was strongly directed towards my red dress. I felt as though a bright light was placed on me. And that light would've been Alex's eyes. I felt my cheeks flush and tried to hide it by looking away from him.

"Gorgeous" He slyly whispered. Such a short word yet it felt like it dragged on for an unmeasurable time.

He'd changed his clothes, I could tell. I'd had to ye image of his white shirt implanted in my mind the whole day. He was wearing a suit now.

It hugged his body so perfectly, and it convinced me that it was probably custom made. It was impeccably ironed, no wrinkles could be detected. His hair was half messy, half flawlessly styled.

His style was so pursuing, no wonder why he was in every magazine cover. I studied him and every inch of his read 'expensive'.

Where he had gone off to change, I didn't know. But I didn't care either.

"You look like..." I inched closer to him, being careful with my actions since I was unchained. "Like a million dollar man"

"Tell me somethin' I don't know" His warm hand wrapped around the side of my neck just gently enough for me to get shivers. His fingers caressed my skin.

"Come on, I've got reservations and we don't wanna be late" He smiled and lead me to the door.

He closed it behind him and a doubted dwelled within me. "What about the guys?"
