Chapter 25

I silently pushed open the door, setting down the bag on a couch. I quietly opened the bathroom door to reveal - nobody.

But the light was on in my bedroom, and there was someone inside.

I silently stepped up, and I heard someone yelp in surprise.

There's no way they could have heard me!

I threw open the door, jumping in and turning to see-

"Fiz?!" I gasped. Sure enough, sitting on my bed was a cute bunny girl.

"Thomas! Ohmigosh, this was the right house! I was really worried... are you wearing glasses?" She asked, just as bubbly as usual.

Rather than replying, I practically tackled her into a hug, holding her tightly.

"Thomas, are you okay? You're crying.." Fiz said gently, hugging me back.

"Yeah... I thought I was sent back to my world... that I wouldn't see you ever again..." I mumbled into her neck.

Fiz rubbed my head.

"Me too... you passed out, and suddenly Taiyo appeared! She praised me for dealing with Nyx and Kuro... I think..."

"You think?" I asked, kissing her shoulder.

"I wasn't really listening... I thought you were dead, because my magic wasn't doing anything. Taiyo said that you'd overwhelmed your magic threshold, and that you needed to go home."

"So she sent me home?" I asked.

"Mm-hm... You were surrounded in light, and you vanished. Taiyo said that you'd lose all your magic after returning... and I simply cried."

"You cried..?"

Fiz nodded, rubbing my head gently. "Because I didn't want to lose you... Taiyo offered me a compromise: I could come with you, but without my magic."

"And you took it?" I asked, smiling happily.

"Of course. She gave me False magic so that I could hide my demihuman attributes from people, but that's all I have."

I pulled out of the hug and planted a long, gentle, loving kiss on her lips.

"I'm so glad you're here," I smiled gently. Fiz wiped my face and giggled.

"I have so many questions about everything, darling. You'll have a lot of work to do, explaining things~" She giggled softly, kissing my nose.

And thus begins the second part of the story - and don't worry, it's not going to be just Slice of Life stuff.

Now that Thomas has been exposed to magic, he's going to find his life much more interesting.
