Guided by Fate (Fiz-Bun Fluff)

Chapter 32

A loud crack of thunder woke us both up, and Fiz yelped.

"Are you okay?" I asked as she dove her face into my chest.

"T-too loud!" She squealed, holding me tight.

"Hey, you're okay, Fiz. Nothing's gonna hurt you, it's just thunder."

"I know," She said softly "It's just t-too loud..." and it's really sudden..!"

Lightning flashed across the windows, and I kissed her forehead. "There's about to be another one."

Boom

"H-how did you know..?"

"Because I saw the lightning first, silly bunny," I said gently, still rubbing her head.

"How? They're both incredibly fast!" She said. "Thunder and lightning always happen at the same time."

"Not here. Light is so much faster than sound, so you can see the flashes before you hear a-"

BOOM

Both of us jumped, and Fiz gave me a mischievous grin.

"It scared you too~" She teased.

"Yeah, it did..." I nodded. "It catches me off guard sometimes..."

Fiz giggled, tackling me against the bed in a tight hug. "Let's get some sleep, cutie!"

I held Fiz close to me in a protective grip, as if protecting her from the storm.

I woke up to find Fiz gone - though, her clothes were neatly folded on the floor, and I could hear humming from the kitchen. I tugged on my clothes and walked into the kitchen, blushing upon seeing Fiz wearing nothing but a white apron.

"Wow~"

Fiz spun around and hopped towards me, giving me a tight hug.

"Good morning my love♥︎! I hope you like pancakes~" She bubbled happily, pulling back, still clinging to my hands.

"That sounds great! Thanks, sweetie~" I kissed her on the cheek and grinned. "Afterward, we can go out shopping for you before you have work?"

Fiz nodded, her dark eyes glittering. "I can't wait to choose all sorts of cute outfits!" She bubbled, rubbing my hair. "Aand maybe something special to wear on special nights~" She teases.

I blushed, then sniffed the air.
"Is something burning?"

For those of you so skipped the Smut chapter, I'm on summer break right now, which means I'm staying with family for another 2 1/2 months, roughly. I'll try to update a few times a month, but no promises...

Anyway, we're about to start the second 'arc,' I guess you'd call it. At the moment, I have no plans to make a third arc, but we'll see. This one should go for a little while, maybe 10 chapters... ish?

Also, finally, in about 4 chapters, this will be the longest story I've ever written! That's pretty nuts honestly.
