Me: Thanks for talking up for me.
Roon, who's still flushed, doesn't immediately respond but eventually nods her head. Smiling, I take hold of her hand and after some difficulty, finally manage to pull her into a standing position. Judging by her expression, she's confused but also intrigued as to what I'm doing and as such I take it as a sign that she'll at least follow me.
Releasing her hand, I'm surprised when she holds on to my own, clasping our fingers together in the process but don't pay it much mind as I continue leading her towards the beach. She's silent for most of the journey and even though I'm aware that she's staring intesely at me as I walk ahead of her, I still don't pay it much mind. It's not until we arrive at the beach, however, that the silence is finally broken and this too is only after I turn from facing the water to continue down the path towards the shops.
Roon: Where are you taking me?
Me: It's a surprise.
She cocks her head to one side but doesn't argue so I take it as the sign to keep going and before long, we're infront of a restaurant. The look on her face tells me she's surprised but she's even more shocked when I lead her pass it and down the alleyway on its right. A few turns later and we finally make it to our destination.
Roon: How'd you know this cave was here?
Me: Intuition?
In truth, I started walking just to go to the beach but then realised I didn't bring anything to change into. I then went back into town to find somewhere to eat but realised I had no money on me so I just continued on until I found this cave. Speaking of cave, I don't think we left the town and if we did we didn't go far so what is this cave doing here?
Looking around, I'm surprised to find that its deeper than it first looks. I'm sceptical about continuing onwards but Roon seemingly recognises the cave and pulls me in further. As our fingers are still intertwined I have no choice but to follow.
Walking along , with nothing to guide me save for Roon, I soon find myself standing in an opening. Before us, a pool of water glistens under the light of a single lamp on the otherside of the opening. If I didn't know better, I'd think its nighttime just by going off how dark this cave is and yet Roon doesn't seem particularly bothered by any of it. Not the seemingly endless darkness of the cave or the manmade lamp sitting in what appears to be an unexplored location. Instead, she turns to face me and smiles.
Roon: No one else knows about this place save for me...and now you.
Me: Really?
Roon: I'm not sure how you found it but if it really is by intuition then it must be fate.
Not sure how to respond to that, I remain silent, watching as she lets go of my hand and begins stripping. I can only stand and stare as she does. It's certainly not what I expected. I mean, I dodged the beach for a reason...
Still, she doesn't wait for me. Neither does she indicate that she wants me to join her or even turn around while she strips. Instead, she slwoly but surely removes piece by agonising piece until only her undergarments remain before heading into the water.
I'm still standing, fully clothed and utterly speechless when she finally turns and addresses me.
Roon: Joining me?
