Following the coronation, I'm shepherded off to an already booked and secured hotel. There, I'm greeted by the rest of the girls that came with me to/remained in Berlin. They all greet me differently but all incorporate the new title in some way or another and I must say, after being called the war marshal or mistress for so long it is weird to be suddenly addressed like royalty.
Despite my initial reservations about the entire situation, however, it doesn't take long for the party to begin. There is music and dancing. There are barrels upon barrels of liquor alongside more food than we could ever possibly eat...or at least, that is what I would have said before seeing some of these girls start eating.
At some point during the entire thing, I finally manage to break away from all the chaos and head over to the bar. I'm already somewhat intoxicated after having Parseval go out and enjoy himself whilst turning off my own ability to burn through the liquor faster than it can take effect. Despite my efforts, however, there seems to be a cap on just how much my body's willing to grant as a compromise before purging it from my body entirely. It took me four trips of highs and lows before realising this but now as I return to the bar, drinking is the last thing on my mind.
Me: I've not seen you before.
????: I-
Me: No...I know the answer to this one. You're a maid from the hotel, yes?
????: Actually-
Me: There's no way you're one of my maids. I know all my maids. There's-
????: You're drunk.
Me: And you're perfect.
She laughs as she replaces her drink before continuing to sip it through the straw. I find the entire ordeal curious but now intrigued, I'm not about to leave this mysterious yet stunning female all by her lonesome so I take a seat beside her and after ordering a drink, turn my full attention to my newfound drinking buddy.
Me: So...
????: So...
Me: What's your name?
????: You don't...my name's Ulrich.
Hmmm. Sounds familiar. Where have I heard that name before? No matter. I'll leave matters like such for a sober me to worry about.
Me: Pleasure to make your acquaintance, Ulrich.
Receiving my glass, I raise it in a toast.
Me: To us.
She laughs yet again. It's a melodious sound yet even more surprising, she doesn't leave me hanging and instead, brushes the edge of my glass with her can before returning it to the straw between her lips.
Me: So is there a reason why you're off to the side?
Ulrich: Crowds aren't my thing.
Me: Mmmm. How about we ditch this place then?
