With the issue of assignments now resolved, we spend another hour going over a few more details regarding things I want them to understand clearly before calling it a day. However, as everyone leaves, I notice that "mother" remains behind. Roselyn also notices and asks if I wish to dismiss her but as much as I'd like to see how they'd force her out without getting Bremen destroyed in the process, I tell her it's fine. She nods, excusing herself from the room. With only mother and I remaining, the air is rich with tension as we continue staring down at each other.

Me: What?

FDG: How did you-

Me: Convince them to put me in charge?

FDG: I was going to say get them to view us in a better light but that too.

Me: They don't, which is precisely why they gave me command of all the KANSEN but only a limited amount of other naval forces.

Stepping down, off the stage, I begin making my way to the door whilst motioning for her to join me. She does and together we head out of the main building and to a nearby bakery. Once in there, I order something to eat before grabbing a table for the two of us at the back.

Me: What do you think?

FDG: Of your plans?

Me: Now that you have to work for me?

FDG: If it means spending even more time with my daughter then-

Me: Then you're fine with it huh?

FDG: Well, yes, though I can't help but notice you placed me with an entirely different army.

Me: That's because I'm keeping an eye on a certain someone.

She doesn't respond but I can see it in her eyes that she knows exactly who I'm referring to. I'm about to continue on when Roselyn comes into the Bakery and after glancing around, makes her way toward me.

Roselyn: Kriegsmarschall, the aircraft you requested have finished their refits and await your approval.

Me: Say, have you met my mother?

Roselyn seems taken aback by the question at first but quickly recovers and properly introduces herself to Friedrich who, after overplaying her role as my mother, returns the gesture.

Me: Lovely. As for the planes have them prepped and have everyone assigned to the 2nd Fleet meet us there.

Roselyn: As you command.

After watching her leave, I let out a sigh before standing.

Me: Seems we have more work to get through.

FDG: Why not leave everything to me-

Me: HAHA. No.

She seems surprised by my abruptness but I know better than to put her in charge of training. Besides, this will be less about training the girls how to skydive properly and more about just getting them to land where we want them to. We don't have time to perfect it all and if necessary, we can even just have the crew flying the planes drop them as they would normal bombs if the girls themselves are incapable of directing their own trajectories during their descent. Having her take over would be overkill.

The Junkers Ju 390 is truly a behemoth of a plane. Standing before it not it's not hard to imagine how it could be considered the "true Amerika Bomber". In my old world, they hadn't begun production on any of its models but here, four sit before me in all their glory. I may not like the nation it is associated with but damn could they build.
