Days had passed and Amelia and Kai were closer. Kai hadn't asked Amelia to be their girlfriend yet, but they were flirting almost every opportunity they had.

"Hey Bartley" Amelia walked into Kai's dorm a dvd in hand.

"Shepard" Kai nodded a small smile across their lips.

"Ghost busters?" She asked earning a nod from Kai. "You put it in and I'll go grab some snacks" their was a shop not far from the college so it wouldn't take them long. Amelia nodded and put the dvd in the tv.

Kai walked across the street towards the shop and entered the small corner shop.

They had bought what they needed and were on their way back to their dorm.

Kai hadn't seen the incoming car however and was on the floor having been hit in the ribs.

"Fucking hell" pain shot through Kai's body. The driver got out of their car and apologised and helped them up on their feet.

"It's alright it was my fault" Kai limped back to their dorm room.

"Kai?" Amelia observed her friend as they walked through the door.

"Kai you're bleeding what happened?" She asked, the small cut on Kai's forehead told Amelia they weren't ok.

"I got hit by a car" Amelias jaw dropped at that. "You what?" She couldn't believe it, they were gone for five minutes not even that and they got his by a damn car!

"It was my fault I wasn't looking where I was going" they winced as they sat down on their bed. Amelia stood from Toms bed and sat next to Kai.

"Let me check you out" Kai smirked at that.

"Oh please do" Amelia softly punched Kai's arm in response.

"Don't get smart with me Bartley"

"Never ma'am" Kai shook their head. Amelia placed her hands on Kai's ribs and softly pushed down.

"Fuck" Kai groaned in pain.

"I'm sorry" Amelia pressed a gentle kiss to their cheek but continued her examination.

"It hurts here?" She asked as she pushed down on another part of their ribs.

"Yes" Kai nodded.

"We have to go to the hospital" Kai shook their head.

Kai was an only child, but their was a reason for it. Kai had a younger brother Micheal.

He had been murdered one night on his way home from school and ever since the day he died they hadn't been able to step foot into a hospital apart from when Amelia overdosed, but they had no choice then.

"Nope no hospitals" Kai said standing up as they spoke.

"Kai i know it's about your brother but you can't continue to live like this you're clearly in pain" Kai opened the fridge and placed a cold bottle of water against their skin.

Kai sighed at the feeling of the bottle against their ribs.

"Good afternoon" Tom walked into his dorm greeting both Kai and Amelia.

"What happened?" Tom asked as he watched Kai hold a bottle of water against their skin.

"Kai got hit by a car" Tom raised an eyebrow.

"How'd you manage that?" He asked slightly calmer than Amelia.

"I wasn't looking where I was going" Kai gritted out as they walked back to the end of their bed next to Amelia.

"Dude you don't look good.

Go to the hospital" Kai shook their head.

"Don't bother Tom. I've tried"

"Why not Bartley?" Tom asked earning an eye roll from Kai.

"I told you not to call me that" they responded.

"I don't like hospitals" kai added as they leant back on the bed.

"Well I don't think you have a choice you could've caused serious damage" Kai sighed at Toms response.

"I know but I just can't" Amelia did feel bad for kai but she was more worried about their physical health at this moment in time.

"Tom go to my dorm Owen is in there. I need to speak to Kai" Owen raised his eyebrows at Amelia.

"Good luck" Kai looked at Amelia as she searched their body In thought.

"What's wrong Ames?" Amelia didn't respond however, instead she just leant down next to kai and peppered kisses to their neck.

"Oh" kai breathed as they moved their head to the side slightly so Amelia had more access.

Amelia pressed soft kisses to their neck and alternated between hard bites.

She moved further up until her lips were kissing their jaw.

"Amelia" kai breathed causing the brunette to smile.

"Would you please just go to the hospital" Amelia pleaded as she kissed their jaw and slowly made her way to their lips.

"For me" she whispered against their lips before pressing them together.

Her hands moved to Kai's hair, she ran her fingers through the soft blonde hair and moaned into Kai's mouth.

"Please" she added.

kai was slowly melting against Amelia.

"Fine" they breathed, and suddenly Amelia was stood.

"Let's go" she spoke as she held her hand out for them to take.

"What? Now?" They asked slightly out of breath.

"Yes of course" kai realised what she did. "You little sneaky minx" Amelia just smiled in response waiting for kai to take her hand.

"I'm going to get you back for that one" Amelia smirked.

"Looking forward to it"
