"That's all the boxes?" Amelia asked as she loaded the final box into the car.

"Yes final box" Kai replied as they got into the car as well as Amelia.

"Let's go then" they drove to the college campus and unloaded laid things into their dorm.

"Who's your roommate do you know?" Kai shook their head no.

"I haven't been told no. You?" They asked wanting to know if they'd put Amelia in with a boy or a girl. If they were a boy then time to panic but if they were a girl then she could deal with that.

I mean they could deal with he or she but they knew Amelias track record with men.

"Hi I'm Tom" a talk scrawny looking kid came into Kai's room their hand raised.

"Hi Tom is there a reason you're in my room?" Kai asked as they unloaded some more boxes.

"Our room" that made more sense now.

"I'm your roommate" Kai nodded their head and stopped what they were doing for a moment before accepting their hand in a shake.

"You are?" Tom asked gesturing to Amelia.

"Amelia Shepard Dereks younger sister" he nodded his head at that.

"Your brother is very smart" Amelia nodded her head in agreement.

"Im going to go and see who my roommate is, coming Kai?" Amelia waited for Kai to join her.

"I'll be just a moment Tom" Kai placed the box on the floor and left their dorm room.

"Hi?" Amelia saw a boy stood in her room his back facing her. He turned around and she had to admit he wasn't bad looking. He was muscular, blonde hair, average height. "I'm Owen" the boy spun around when rhe hard a voice by the door.

"Hi owen I'm Amelia" they both shook hands.

Firm grip good to know.

"You've got to be kidding me" Kai rolled their eyes and left Amelias dorm.

"What's up with them?" Owen asked.

"Stressful day lots of boxes" Amelia smiled her eyes focusing on his.

Gorgeous blue orbs.

"You need help unpacking your boxes?" He asked gesturing to the many boxes on the floor.

"Yeah that would be helpful thank you" Amelia smiled at the boy before moving to the floor to grab one of the boxes and started to unpack it, Owen helping her with the process.

"I'm telling you you're going to fuck your roommate" Amelia was round Kai's dorm for dinner, they had both opted for pizza after a few disagreements on where to eat.

"I- perhaps" there was no denying the attraction she held for the blonde boy.

"See not even in denial" Kai shook their head before biting into another piece of pizza.

"What's this boy number three?" Kai asked smirking at Amelia whilst she just glared at them.

"Oh and you're on your what? Oh wait yeah that's right you haven't had a girlfriend before" Kai's smirk dropped instantly and Amelia smiled having won the argument.

"I don't want or need a girlfriend" that was a lie they did want a girlfriend they didn't need one but they did want one.

Of course they wanted Amelia to be their girlfriend but it wasn't as simple as that.

"You'll find her" Kai looked at Amelia and muttered something under their breath.

"I already have" luckily Amelia didn't hear them so she just continued to eat her pizza.

After their food they opted for a horror film.

Obviously Kai's choice because Amelia absolutely hated them.

That's partly why Kai chose them.

The door opened and Amelia screamed at the incoming intruder.

"It's just me chill out" Tom placed his hand over his chest, the brunette having scared him.

"Oh fuck Tom don't scare me like that" she shouted before throwing a pillow at him. "I'm not psychic I didn't know you were watching a scary film" Kai payed the film so they could hear Tom properly. "Knock next time" Tom raised his eyebrows at this.

"I live here you know, if anything you have to knock" Amelia laughed as did Kai.

"Oh no no no Tommy Kai lives here too meaning that I also partly live here." Tom placed their bag on the table before grabbing his water from the coffee table.

"Call me Tommy again and see what happens"

"Woah dude sock on the door sock on the door" Kai opened their dorm room to find Tom kissing some blonde on his bed.

"Woah fuck sorry Kai" Tom removed himself from the blonde and tapped Kai on the back.

"I'll put a sock on there neck time" he smirked at taller teen before sitting on the bed with the blonde girl he had been previously kissing.

"I'm Teddy" Kai waved in her direction before taking their shirt off and replacing it with a vest.

"You're muscular for a girl" Teddy didn't realise they were non binary and Tom looked at them wearily.

"I didn't tell her sorry man" Teddy started to panic. "Omg what did I say something wrong?" Kai shook their head before speaking.

"No you've done nothing wrong I just prefer to have them/them pronouns and not to be called a girl" the explained earning small nodes from Teddy.

"I'll bare that in mind" Kai nodded their head before grabbing a bottle of water from the fridge.

"Seriously though Kai you're ripped how haven't you gotten a girl yet?" He asked.

Kai was one of the most hottest people he knew; it baffled him that they weren't dating anyone or at least having some on the side.

"I have my eyes on someone" Kai responds, earning a nod from Tom and a big smile.

"Why are you so happy about that?" Kai asked.

"Because I know who it is" Kai raised an eyebrow at his comment.

"Excuse you?" Tom nodded his head again.

"Who then?" He smiled once again before answering.

"Amelia of course" Kai's face turned a deep shade of red their was no way of denying it now.

"Well then that was easy"

"Who's Amelia?" Teddy asked having listened to their conversation.

LShe's been my best friend for ten years and she lives across from us in the dorm with Owen.

"Owen and I are best friends too" Kai raised an eyebrow not expecting them to be friends.

"Tom mouth shut otherwise you're dead understand?" Tom used his fingers to pull a fake zip across his lips.

"You're secret is safe with me.

"Same with you teddy" Teddy copied Toms movements. "Cheers"

Kai was going to tell her one day, just not now, not yet.

The time would come for them to make their move they just had to be patient.
