"No kai" Amelia shook her head as she stood pacing in her dorm room.

"Amelia" they were being ignored at this point.

"It's not ok" Kai dropped their head down in defeat, they knew it wasn't ok.

"I know" Amelia noticed Kai's quiet response so stopped pacing and made her way over to them.

"I'm sorry" she placed her hands against their cheeks and stood between their legs.

"It's ok, it isn't your fault Ames" Amelias thumbs stroked the skin of their cheeks whilst they spoke.

"I know, I just can't stand that man" Kai laughed quietly, they really couldn't stand him either, they didn't even call them their father, they referred to him by his first name.

"Not long, and I won't have to legally deal with him anymore" Amelia smiled before removing her hands from their cheeks and leaning down to envelope them in a hug.

"Not long" she repeated.

"Amelia, what do I owe the pleasure?" Tom joked as Amelia stormed into their dorm room whilst Tom had Teddy over.

"Oh sorry Tom, hi Teddy" the tall blonde waved shyly at Amelia.

"Do you know where Kai is?" She asked, backpack slung over one shoulder as she had just finished a class.

"Haven't seen them since first period no, why?" Tom shuffled slightly up the bed so he was sat upright.

"I was just wondering" Amelia smiled at Teddy before waving goodbye to Tom.

She shut the door and rested against it for a moment pondering where her partner could be.

She suddenly knew when she heard Kai's name being yelled in the corridor.

"Oh god" Link.

She ran through the corridor and turned a corner before coming into view with kai and Link.

"What do you want Link?" Kai hadn't noticed Amelia's presence.

"I want to apologise" Kai raised an eyebrow in question.

"For?" They waited for the rest of the apology.

"Hitting you the other night. I drank way too much and it was way out of line"

Kai nodded their head before speaking.

"You're right, there was no need" Link nodded.

"I was just angry that you stole Amelia from me" Kai raised an eyebrow again but this time in shock.

"Link, she wasn't yours in the first place, I knew Amelia long before she started going here" Link shook his head clearly in denial.

"She was into me, until you came along" Kai ignored him and spun on their heal when they noticed Amelia.

They smiled and waved before starting to make their way over to her.

"Maybe she's sympathetic for you, you know because your dad hits you" they stopped right in their tracks.

Amelias eyes bore a hole through Links soul for that remark.

"It must be tough, you're own father not giving a Jack shit about their only daughter" Kai's fists clenched and dug into their skin, their nails causing slight pain.

"Maybe thats why you took that punch I gave you so well, you're used to it. Perhaps your dad hits you for the right reasons" they took a deep breath and closed their eyes.

"It's ok kai, Amelia had her fun with her charity case, maybe let me have a go now" that's it, they saw red.

Kai spun around on their heal and marched over towards Link.

Amelias eyes widened as she watched kai storm over to kai.

She ran over in their direction but it was too late.

Kai had punched Link straight in the jaw.

He was on the floor holding his face in agony.

"Baby, woah" she held onto Kai's wrists to stop them from punching him again.

"Kai" their eyes were moving all over the place as they tried to regain their composure.

They hadn't meant to hit him, but there was a line, and he well and truly crossed it.

"Hm" Amelia interlocked their hands together and dragged them in the direction of their dorm.

" let's go" Link watched as Amelia dragged Kai away with her.

"I tried not to" Amelia opened her dorm room to luckily have it empty.

"I know" Kai sat on the bed their hands resting against their knees.

"It's alright he deserved it." Kai nodded smiling at Amelia.

"And plus that was kind of hot" Kai laughed in response before shaking their head.

"Of course you found that hot babe" Amelia also laughed before leaning down so she could place a kiss to their lips.

"You should have seen his face" Amelia laughed as she thought back to seeing Link watch them leave to head back to her dorm.

"Oh yeah?" Amelia nodded.

"Yeah, he looked so angry" Kai also laughed before falling quiet and dropping their head.

"What he said isn't true" Kai smiled sadly but shook their head.

"I know you sympathise for me" Amelia watched Kai's face for a moment.

"But, i know you're not with me because of it" Amelia smiled happy kai understood Link was just talking crap.

"When are you going back home?" Kai lifted their head before speaking.

"For the holidays" Amelia nodded her head in response, knowing that kai would be at home for most of the summer.

"You're staying with your mum?" She asked hoping they were.

"Yes" Amelia smiled.

"Good" Kai placed their hands on Amelias waist before pulling her so she was sat on their lap.
