"I don't see anyone. Are you sure we're at the right place?" Amelia said as they pulled onto a field.
"We're just early Ames" Kai gave Amelia their usual wonky smile that Amelia loved oh so much.
"See there's the screen" Kai pointed to the monitor and the wall for their film.
"I believe you" Kai rolled their eyes before opening their car door and going to Amelias side to open her door.
"What a gentleman" Kai bowed.
"Yes ma'am" Amelia laughed before nudging their shoulder with her hand.
"Hey! You do not hit a gentleman" Amelia just ignored them as she pushed them softly again causing Kai to stumble slightly.
"Well. I guess I do"

Both Kai and Amelia were sat on the back of Kai's car.
They had enough space to lay down.
Amelia had packed some food and some snacks for the film.
Kai had begged Amelia to see a horror film they had been searching for on DVD for a while but to no success of finding it, in which lead them both here.
"You make a good cushion" Amelia was cuddled against Kai's chest, her head resting over their heart.
"Why thank you" Kai laughed quietly, as they moved their hand to Amelias brown locks before weaving their hands through her hair.
"I'll fall asleep" Amelia whispered, closing her eyes as Kai's fingers massaged her scalp.
"That's alright" Kai whispered back before placing a soft kiss to Amelias forehead.
"It's our third date I don't want to scare you off" Kai laughed at the comment.
"Amelia you cant scare me off" they replied.
"Besides if you haven't already by now, then there's no chance" Amelia swatted their wrist lightly before pushing herself further into them.
"Just watch the film" Kai gave Amelia their slanted, wonky smile before adverting their eyes back to the monitor.
"If you say so"

Amelia hated horror films.
She was only watching this one because it was there date night, and because Kai had done things for their dates in the past that they didn't necessarily want to do.
Basically she caved.
"Amelia, it's alright it's not real" Kai laughed quietly when Amelia hid her face in the crook of their neck.
"I hate this film" Kai ran their hands across the length of Amelias back trying to sooth her.
"Look at me" Amelia shook her head.
"Amelia" she removed her head slowly from the warm nest she was using to hide her eyes.
"You're safe I've got you" Kai cupped Amelias cheek and using their thumb to swipe across her cheekbone with their thumb.
