Chapter 39

After 3 weeks, Mina was discharged from the hospital. She had suffered nothing more than a cut on her thigh which was bandaged. Fortunately for her, the knife hadn't gone too deep. But the wound was enough to make it difficult for her to walk.

And her family, Chaeyoung and Tzuyu who took her home. Chaeyoung helped her to push her wheelchair into the car and drove them all home.

The atmosphere on the way home was very quiet. No one dared to speak. And Mina knows, Chaeyoung and Tzuyu must be very nervous right now. Her father forced them all to drive in one car. He forbade Sana to be alone with Tzuyu.

" So.. Chaeyoung and Tzuyu. I would like to invite you two to have dinner with us tonight. I would like to get to know my daughters's boyfriends better " said Mr.Myoi.

" NO !!! " yelled Sana instinctively before she could stop herself.

Mr.Myoi looked at her in frowned, "Why? "

Sana thought, It's not that she doesn't want her father to know Tzuyu more. But she knew for sure, if her father used the dinner method to get to know Tzuyu and Chaeyoung, it would mean her father would intimidate them both.

" Hemm. What I mean is Tzuyu and Chaeyoung is very busy with their assignment, dad. And besides, Mina must be really tired too. She needs a lot of rest, right Mina? So you can just postpone the dinner plans "

Sana sends a signal through her eyes to Mina. Luckily, Mina caught the signal.

" Yes daddy. Let's not take up too much of their time. And I'm tired too "

" What nonsenses. A busy man has to eat dinner regardless. And I'm a doctor too, Mina. I know very well that a dinner will not drain your energy. So Tzuyu and Chaeyoung will you accept my invitation? "

" Yes.. We will accept. Thank you for inviting us, sir " replied Tzuyu, ever so politely. and Chaeyoung just smile and nodded in agreement.

Sana was waiting outside for Tzuyu. She wanted to assure him before he stepped into her home-the lion's den. Her eyes lit up when she saw Chaeyoung's car came through the wrought iron gates that guarded her home. And she couldn't help but smile fondly at the man who was sit next to Chaeyoung.

Tzuyu stepped out the car and gave Sana a bashful smile.

" Why are you standing outside? "

" I want to make sure you're ready. I know my dad can be really intimidating sometimes "

" Relax honey.. I'll be fine. I'm ready to face your father "

Tzuyu hugged Sana and smiled at her. Honestly, he and Chaeyoung were really nervous right now. They didn't stop encouraging each other along the way here.

And Chaeyoung was the one who felt the most nervous and scared. He felt that Mina's father would be more angry with him than Tzuyu.

" Sana.. Where is Mina? " asked Chaeyoung as he stepped out of his car.

" She's in the living room with my mom. C'mon, let's go inside "

Mina and her mom was in the living room when their entered and as soon as Mina saw Chaeyoung, she gave him a warm smile.

" Ooh.. You two have already came " Mrs.Myoi stood up from her seat as she saw her guests had arrived.

Chaeyoung and Tzuyu bowed politely to her, " Good evening mrs.Myoi " they said in sync.

" Okay,, you two can wait here first. I'll inform my husband that you guys have come so we can start the dinner " mrs.Myoi smiled warmly at Chaeyoung and Tzuyu before she walked to upstairs.
