Cassie threw the apple in the garbage, "They're disgusting, when you're human they have no flavor." Klaus and Rebekah watched in amusement as Cassie went through the cupboards, trying anything and everything in sight. Cassie grabbed a chocolate bar and popped a piece in her mouth, "Thank god, chocolate's still fantastic!" She smiled, she turned around at the pair sitting across the counter top. "Darling why are you so happy? You're human, you can be killed now, this isn't good." Cassie giggled, putting the chocolate wrapper in the garbage, "You're right but I haven't felt like this in a thousand years, I'm alive again! Plus I'm not totally useless, I'm still a witch and a very powerful one to be exact." Klaus shook his head, "I've never seen you this happy."

"Well if I stop and think about it for too long then I'll be sad and depressed, that is one thing I do not need, so I'm trying to look on the bright side." Klaus turned his head to look at Rebekah, his eyes were wide, motioning towards Cassie. Rebekah turned to face Cassie, "We're going to the Salvatore boarding house today, we want to see if the Bennett witch can help you." Cassie rolled her eyes, "Why do we need her help? She's one of the many people who tried to kill us, plus can't one of you just, turn me?" Rebekah sighed, standing up from her chair, "Doesn't matter, we're going anyway." Cassie threw her head back, "Say, where is Elijah?" Klaus stood up, "Wanted to see where Finn and our mother went." Cassie sighed, "Oh. Well I'm going to grab a coat, I'll be right back."

Cassie went upstairs. She went into her room and looked in the closet, nothing. She never had to own a coat before, she never really got cold. Cassie groaned, pushing hangers of clothing aside, "Having trouble love?" She turned around to see Klaus leaning in the doorway, "I don't have any coats and it's freezing outside." Klaus waved his hand, "Follow me." Klaus lead Cassie into his room, her jaw dropped just slightly when she walked in. She had never gone into his room, there was an easel in the corner with a small stool next to it. The walls were covered in gorgeous paintings, all with intricate colors and shapes. "Done staring?" She pulled her gaze away to see Klaus holding a coat. "Yes, sorry." She walked over to grab the coat but Klaus pulled it away, "Allow me."

He put his hand on her waist, turning her back towards him. Cassie held her hands out to the side as Klaus slipped the coat on. He moved her hair to the side, brushing the back of her neck. She shivered, and began to blush. Klaus snickered, "There you are." She turned back around, the coat was big, hung to her mid thigh, the sleeves going down to her finger tips. She pulled it in and looked up, giving Klaus a smile. "I'm going to tell you now that I'm not letting you out of my sight today, you're human now, and fragile." Cassie rolled her eyes, "Icaeus." She flicked her hand and Klaus hit the nearest wall, it wasn't hard, but it sent the message. "Shall we?" She left the room leaving Klaus to himself.

They arrived at the Salvatore boarding house not long later. They walked inside the doors, Cassie looked around at everyone in the room, Stefan, Damon, and Bonnie. Her eyes scanned a little farther, there sat Elena. She was staring down at the floor, not daring to look up at anyone. "Well if it isn't the mini Katherine? How are you Elena? I'm sure you're exhausted after everything you've been up to, scheming against your friends takes a lot of energy." Elena kept her head down, playing with the couch cushion. "You can't even look at me, how pathetic." Damon sighed, "Play nice, we're willing to help you now be grateful." Cassie whipped her head around, "You have no room talk, lecturing about gratefulness, please." Damon stood up, "One swipe and you're dead you know that right?" Cassie stepped up to him, looking him dead in the eye, "Do it, I dare you." Damon growled before promptly walking away.

"You can pretend you hate me all the live long day but in the end, you'll always come running back for my help." Stefan laughed, "Aren't you the one here right now begging us to help you?" She scoffed, "Then our ideas of begging are very different, now Bonnie, is there something you wanna do or are you just gonna stand there?" Bonnie looked up, "Do you like this? People bending over backwards for you?" Cassie shrugged, "Little bit yeah." Bonnie rolled her eyes, "There might be a spell I can do to reverse the effects of Esther's spell, or the other option is, someone in this room turns you back." Cassie paused, "If someone in this room turns me that means I'll be breaking my sire bond with Elijah." Rebekah narrowed her eyes, "That's only a problem if-... Cassie do you not love Elijah?" She whipped her head around, "What are you talking about? I'll always love Elijah but I've never had the need to break the sire bond! I mean, I'm not even sired to him now." She stopped to think about it, she had been sired to Elijah her entire life.
