A/N: Cassie's dress!

"You mustn't understand Cassandra. I am not teaching you magic to give you power. I am teaching it so that you may finally feel at peace. Try again." Cassie sighed, "Esther we've been trying the entirety of the day. I have gotten no where, allow me to fail..." Esther put her hand on Cassie's shoulder, "Focus. Try again..." She groaned but did as she was told. She looked around at the leaves spread out across the kitchen table, she closed her eyes and thought about the power, coursing through her veins. When she went to open her eyes she saw the leaves were still in the same place as before. "This is useless!" As she shouted the words the open door slammed shut. Both girls turned their heads to look at it, Cassie had a look of amusement to her, Esther's was filled with fear and concern. "You will never do that again do you understand me?" Her jaw went slack, "But, I did that! All of that was my power!" Esther held up a hand, "I believe we are done here, go home to your sister Cassandra."

"Tell me why we're doing this again." Cassie grunted as she tried pulling up the zipper of her dress, Klaus fixed the cuffs of his suit in annoyance, "Mother has asked us to dinner, we're going to happily oblige and try to kill her in the process." Cassie rolled her eyes, "If she dies she's only going to jump bodies." He watched in amusement as Cassie struggled to get the zipper, "Yes, that's why we have the lovely Hayley out fixing that predicament." She paused at the mention of Hayley's name. They hadn't spoken since the kiss, it's not that she was scared, she just didn't want to face the awkwardness of the whole situation. Cassie eventually dropped her hands to the side, bring her hand out she began to drag it upwards in front of her body. Klaus stared at her bare back as it was slowly covered up, the zipper shielding any extra exposed skin. "She won't be happy with that dress."

"Good, I want her to know I no longer value her opinion." He snickered at her comment, Cassie swiveled around and looked him up and down, "Since you're the only person in this house who doesn't want to snap my neck I'll have you know something... Esther knows where my children are. I will not hesitate to pry the answers I want from her." Klaus smirked, "I expect nothing less. As for everyone hating you, I have to say, I've taken quite a liking to this new Cassandra. Brings out the side you've held deep down all these ratchet years." She smiled at his words, Klaus held out his arm, offering it towards her. "Shall we?" Cassie was hesitant, but slipped her arm inside his, "We shall."

The toe of Cassie's heel tapped against the floor impatiently, she gripped the stem of her blood filled wine glass, "If someone doesn't show up in the next ten minutes I'm ripping a head off." Elijah shifted against the chair, gripping the tops of it, "You are awfully impatient." Cassie shot him a menacing grin, "Keep talking and it will be your head." Footsteps pulled them out of their trance like stare, "Now now, no need to get violent. The fun is just starting." The man that stood in front of them was no one familiar. At least not to Klaus and Elijah. "And who might you be?" Klaus scoffed, the man shifted, "It pains me that you wouldn't recognize me." Elijah stepped forward and held out his hand, "I don't believe we've had the pleasure of meeting. I'm Elijah." The man looked appalled, his eyebrows raised high, "Oh we have, I am family after all."

"Finn! Just when I thought tonight couldn't get anymore boring!" Cassie faked her enthusiasm as Finn shot her a glare, "Cassandra. Nice to see somethings haven't changed." He looked her up and down, Cassie stood up from the table, "What the hell is that supposed to mean?" Finn gave her a smirk, "We both know, don't play dumb." As she began to walk towards him Klaus quickly grabbed her wrist, "Come on now love, the neck snapping can wait till dessert." She spun around to look at him, "I will rip your arm off..." Her eyes went to a dark red, veins began to form underneath her eyes. The vampire face went as quick as it came, she closed her eyes, her features returning back to normal. Cassie took a deep breathe and smiled, "Where is Esther?" Finn took a seat one over from Elijah, "Give it time, our mother loves to make a grand entrance." Cassie rolled her eyes, "This better be the best entrance in history..."
