TW: Violence and gore
Cassie sat in the backseat, eyes wide. "Jeremys dead?" Elena sighed, she fixed her hair in the window of the car, "Dead as a doorknob. Don't forget I flipped the switch." Cassie crossed her arms, "How could I? It's not obvious at all." Elena smirked, "Don't pretend like you don't love it... say, did you ever flip the switch Cassie?" She sighed, "No, came close to it, then I'd just slaughter a ton of people and I felt fine." Elena nodded, "Sounds accurate to me." Cassie rolled her eyes, "Bite me." Elena leaned into the backseat, "Gladly I'm hungry." Rebekah grabbed her shoulder, "Behave you two, we're here to kill Katherine and get the cure. Now I'm sure Stefan and Damon aren't far behind us, we need to stay focused on the task at hand." Elena raised a brow before sinking back into her seat. Cassie played with her daylight ring. Though she didn't need it she still wore it. It was a reminder to do better, Cassie had lost count the amount of times that thing had been covered in the blood of the innocent. Little things like that kept her in check.
"When we get into town me and Elena will get Katherine, Cassie, you will do a locator spell. Find Elijah and deal with him from there. If him and Katherine are as close as you say he should know where she put the cure." Cassie snickered, "Close is the understatement of the century. I checked up on them a few days ago, needless to say I saw many things I could've gone without. I'm going to make that bastard beg for death." Elena giggled, "I love the new you." Rebekah smirked, "Oh darling this isn't the new Cassie, this is the old one. The original heretic, the original ripper. Elena, did Cassie ever tell you what they called her back in the 1800s?" She shook her head, "No, she did not." Rebekah smiled, looking at Cassie through the rear view mirror, "Way back when we first came to New Orleans Cassie was having an awful hard time controlling her cravings. She killed many men, so much so they called her the slayer of men. Cassie here killed anyone who crossed her or other women. If they had slaves, she'd kill them. Ripping limbs from their bodies and then feeding on what was left. She was a badass." Cassie couldn't help but smirk, blushing slightly.
"So you killed anyone who did wrong back then?" Elena looked back at Cassie, she simply nodded. "The men back then needed to be put in their place and that's exactly what I did." The car came to a stop on the side of the road, the girls got out of the car. The town was small, very quiet. "This place... it's too quiet." Elena turned around, "That's your biggest problem right now?" She looked around some more, observing the people walking by. "Yes, something isn't right." Cassie grabbed a woman's arm, "Where is Katherine Pierce?" The woman gave her a confused look, "What do you mean? She's right next to you." Cassie let go, "You two have fun with this, I'm finding Elijah. Let me know once you have Katherine, I want a stab at her as well." She grabbed the map from the back of the car, Rebekah and Elena walked off with the woman next to them. Cassie saw a park across the street, she began to walk in that direction.
She walked up into the gazebo, this was the place from her visions. Cassie's blood began to boil. She pushed her rage aside, getting down on her knees she set the map down and pulled a knife from her boots. Cassie pricked her finger, letting the blood drip down onto the map of the town. "Ahsorum dolusantum infidictus." The blood began to travel to the edge of town. Cassie looked down, it was a random street name. She stood up grabbing the map, her phone began to ring, she pulled it out of her pocket. Some random number, she picked it up, "Hello?" She heard talking on the other line, "It's Elena, I have Katherine's phone, where are you?" Cassie smirked, "Center of town, little gazebo in the park." Elena giggled, "Sending him your way. We'll make sure he knows it's urgent. I know you're dying to get your hands on him. See you soon." With that she hung up. Cassie sat down on one of the seats, looking around at the nature around it.
She couldn't help but smile, the idea of sweet sweet revenge kept her on the edge of her seat. Cassie played with her knife, twirling the end of it on her finger tip. There was a nervous pit in her stomach. Cassie had never truly stood up to Elijah before. Though she had defied him it was nothing compared to what she had planned. A gush of wind came from outside the gazebo, she heard footsteps but the tree next to her blocked the outside view. She took a deep breathe, Elijah came up and onto the steps, he looked right at Cassie, "Cassandra what are you doing here?" She sighed, "Why don't you tell me." Her face was blank, no emotion to her words. "I can't because I do not know why you're here, or how you found me." She smirked, "Don't you mean us? How did you find us?" Elijah stopped, his jaw went slack, as he was about to say something Cassie stood up, "You know I remember our days in the 60s so fondly. We were inseparable before Allison's death. You loved me. You loved Allison as well, loved her like a little sister. Tell me, does that love mean nothing to you?" Elijah took a step forward, "Let's talk about this-..." Cassie pressed the knife to his throat, "Don't talk... just don't." Elijah's chest came up and down, his eyes were locked onto hers. "How many times did you sleep with her?" Elijah gave her a look of confusion, "What do you mean?"
