"W-what's going on?" Her vision was blurred, the world around her seemed so much more dark. The surrounding light hurt her eyes, making Cassie wince in pain. "Cassandra?" She felt as if she wanted to crawl right from her skin, everything felt weird and different. There was an itch in her brain that made every little thing uncomfortable. "Get me out..." She squirmed against the seat, a groan of frustration sounding out from her lips. Cassie paused at the noises coming from her. "Where's my accent? Where am I?" A tightening feeling in her chest made it hard to suck any air in. "Cassandra it's alright. We're in a car, look outside." Cassie shook her head and when she turned her head it came into view. The old building she had once longed to forget, was now the only shining light in her life. The sanatorium.

That place had been the bane of her existence in 1919. Working for hours and hours on end, treating hundreds of dying patients. "A-are they inside..?" She looked over to see Finn sitting in the drivers seat, a slow nod was all the confirmation she needed. "How do I know this isn't... some, sick joke?" He raised an eyebrow at her uneasiness, "You don't trust me?" Cassie shook her head once again, "Why should I?" Finn adverted his gaze to the building behind them. "Are you willing to risk your children for that?" Cassie looked back towards the sanatorium, the building giving her a sense of dread. "No." With that she slowly made her way out of the car, her body wasn't much smaller than her last. Though her vision was sensitive, every little reflection of light causing her to wince. She looked back and noticed Finn, still sitting in the car, "You aren't coming?" He chuckled, "No. This is up to you now."

The car slowly got into gear, and drove off onto the long winding street. Cassie shuddered when the open gates banged against each other. She looked down at herself and noticed her ragged clothes, her hands ran through her tangled and messy hair and she wondered what this poor girl had gone through. Without another thought, her feet slowly brought her towards the gates and the opening of the building. The doors were sealed shut and Cassie wondered, Lorraine was a witch, what could she do? Stretching out her shoulders and neck Cassie looked at the locked doors, energy surged through her body and she gasped at the sudden wavering feeling. In a moment the doors swung open with such force Cassie was sure they'd break off the hinges. "Expression..." She looked down at the hands that were now hers, "You were an expression witch... weren't you?"

A gust of wind pushed her forward and Cassie figured that was all the information she would need. "You wouldn't mind if I used it, would you?" The doors slamming shut behind her gave Cassie all the confirmation she needed, "Oh I like you." She looked around at the open corridor, dust covered every square inch. Not a sound could be heard, Cassie took a few more steps towards the main entry way, the same one that lead off into separate hallways. "Your name was Lorraine right? I don't mean to be nosy... but, why me?" Cassie waited for a response until something hit her in the back, it was a splintering pain, her knees buckled and she groaned out. Cassie reached back into her shoulder blade and pulled out a knife, only half the blade went in. As soon as the tip was removed Cassie's jaw went slack as she saw the wound had already healed. "Oh this is gonna be fun." When she saw the direction of the knife Cassie studied the words carved on the wall. Lost child too. "You were a mother?"

The silence made Cassie realize she was prying. This poor girl gave up her body for her and now she was questioning her as if it was any of her business. "I'm sorry... as if that makes up for anything that you've gone through." Cassie looked up as an orange ray of light came from one of the hallways. She looked down at the knife and for the first time in months she felt nothing but pure rage. Her humanity was back, at least parts of it, now all she felt was an urge to kill. It was like an itch that needed to be scratched, a puzzle that needed to be solved. Cassie wouldn't rest until she put out that flame ignited inside of her. The grip on the knife only tightened as a small sigh escaped her lips. "I'll apologize in advanced Lorraine. We're about to get messy." Cassie didn't hesitate to follow the path that the orange ray of light shone. She looked down the hallway to see an open door, the light was seeping through it, the door open only a mere few inches.
