We arrived back home, but I new the secound I got home, it would be different.
It would be me, and mom. Yes Bri, and Jessie would be a phone call away, and my brother's would be present, but without dad... I would be vulnerable.
I don't want that.
"Do you want me to drop you off at your moms?" He asks cautiously as we pass the 'Welcome To *town* Wisconsin' sign.
"Uhhmmm, well I dont think, maybe we should, first I uhhmm... Can I stay at your place, instead maybe?" I ask tripping over words looking from the sign as we pass it to him.
"Yeah, sure, Trin is out of town, but she wont mind" he says thinking it through.
"Oh- Okay, great, thanks" I say relived I can avoid my mother more.
A few moments of comfortable silence goes by.
"You should talk to her though" he says as we pull in the driveway.
I just hum in response.
"Wanna watch a movie" he asks as we walk inside.
"We're watching (your favorite movie)" I declare.
"Alright then"
