Connor was very surprised he even convinced Serena to come tonight.

The only time he's ever gotten Serena over to his place was for the greenhouse, and she didn't even come inside.

He suddenly felt nervous, he was hyper aware she'd be in his home. He noticed all the little messes, how his couch pillows weren't neat and orderly like hers.

How his mail was slightly pilling up on his counter. And of course the mess from the party the night before.

He groaned and stretched his arms over his head, rubbing his fingers through his thick dark hair.

Connor didn't want to scare her away, but he wanted to push her. Test her limits. He wanted to make this party as big as he could and see if she'd still come.

It was just in his spirit to try and rock her to her edge, see just how far he could bring her to the brink before her shy personality snapped away to that fiery one.

He smirked and grabbed his phone out of his pocket, sending a side eyed over to Serena's house where he saw her sifting her mail through the large windows

The phone dialed a few times before his best friend picked up, "Deluca! What's going on."

"Hey Josh, so I know I just had a party last night, but I need to throw one today too."

"What? Really again today. What's the occasion."

"No occasion, but it has to be massive. Can you help me with that?" Connor couldn't wipe the smirk off his face.

"You know I can. Won't that neighbor of yours freak out?" Josh chuckled.

"Don't worry I've taken care of that-"

"You sound like a murderer..." Josh cut Connor off laughing.

"I didn't murder her," He rolled his eyes, "Just don't worry about that, invite everyone you know."

"Okay will do, bye!"

"Oh one more thing, make sure Bruce and his friends don't come."

"Why?"

"Just don't invite them, bye."

"Bye."

Connor hung up the phone and stuffed it back in his pocket. Now he needed to straighten up and get the supplies.

The sun was setting, Connor cleaned his house, and four kegs sat under his Island while liquor lined the top.

The pool was on and all the lights outdoors were on as well.

People were already starting to arrive, Connor was searching through every face to see if one of was Serena.

He sent the people he knew were assholes home, and by the time the sun had set completely and the music was blasting; still no Serena.

There was a slight satisfaction in that, knowing he'd won this game, but also an annoying tinge of disappointment.
