Serena's heart was beating so fast she really believed she was on the verge of a heart attack.

Connor looked impossibly delicious stacked in his hockey uniform, his panty-dropping smirk hidden behind a metal cage shouldn't be attractive but it was. His eyes looked primal behind his helmet, and the black paint that smudged lines down his cheek made him look like a warrior. Her eyes glued to him the minute she watched him glide easily out on to the ice, he was in his element and you could tell just by looking at each confident move on that slick ice.

"Alright, you have a lot of explaining to do ma'am. How the hell do you know Connor Deluca and why didn't you tell me before I made an utter fool of myself." Melody's staggering pointed look pulled Serena's gaze off Connor.

"Oh right, well to be honest I really forgot we were coming to a hockey game. It didn't click for me until like thirty minutes ago, and when It did I was less than pleased to say the least." Serena rubbed a chilled hand over her face.

Mel just gave her a confused look.

"He's my neighbor believe it or not, and we really don't get along."

"Well, you two could've have fooled me. The way you stared at each other, I almost closed my eyes it was that intense."

Serena's eyes hardened into a glare, "Well you're very wrong. He's an adult baby and we cannot stand each other. That man is beyond insufferable."

Well, they couldn't stand each other out of the bedroom.

Melody dropped the topic with a shrug, "Well personally I'll excuse any of his behavior as long as he keeps looking and playing the way he does. Speaking of stares, number thirteen can't keep his eyes off you."

She raised an eyebrow and followed the woman's gaze over to a player on Connor team dribbling a puck around, his blue gaze trained on her as he did so. When Serena's eyes met his a large smile broke out on to his lips that made her heart still, it wasn't the dirty suggestive smirk Connor always sported on his cocky lips.

This one was kind, safe, and reminded her of a golden retriever smile. Thirteen gave her a little nod before slamming his stick down onto the ice and shooting his puck at the goal, all while looking at her.

Serena blushed, squirming under the unfamiliar gaze, she tucked a stray strand of hair from her loose ponytail behind her ear coyly.

Connor came skating by quickly, and smacked the back of thirteen's helmet with his glove, saying something to the man that caused him to focus his attention back on the ice.

"Ladies and Gentleman! The game of the season is about to start, so find your seats and cross your fingers. The bullets against the wolves, both teams undefeated, but by the end of tonight, only one will hold that title." One speaker said and the crowd erupted around them, the screams from fans decked out in red and blue told Serena that they were hoping the wolves kept that status.
