Authors POV
"Who's Hyunjin?" Taehyung asks, intrigued and a little wary about the name that just came up in their conversation.
Hyunjin, as it turns out, is far from ordinary. Not just another mafia boss but one marked by an unusual, almost legendary level of insanity.
"You mean crazy?" Taehyung interjects, trying to grasp the full picture.
Yes, crazy, but not just any garden-variety madness. This is someone who was confined to an asylum for half a decade, a testament to a mind unhinged by more than just the pressures of crime and power.
"Whoa-that's-really crazy," Taehyung comments, his expression a mix of disbelief and concern.
Indeed, Hyunjin's backstory is a dark tapestry of family betrayal, murder, and a life constantly overshadowed by Jungkook's unintended influence.
Hyunjin, pushed to his limits by constant comparisons to Jungkook and the pressure to excel in his father's empire, snapped, leading to a tragic outcome.
"That's just downright awful," Taehyung says, his face twisted in disgust as he learns of Hyunjin's violent break, killing his own family in a fit of rage spurred by envy and a feeling of inadequacy.
But there's sympathy, too, in Taehyung's response. Despite the horrific actions, he can't help but feel a pang of pity for Hyunjin, a victim in his own right to an uncaring family and a life filled with comparisons that drove him to madness.
"Yeah, says the person that's currently training under the Mafia," comes the ironic observation, pointing out the contrast between Taehyung's reaction and his own path.
"Shut up," Taehyung retorts, a hint of embarrassment in his voice.
The narrative then shifts to the present, hinting at Hyunjin's escape or release from the asylum and the impending threat he poses to Jungkook, driven by a delusional belief that Jungkook is the root of all his misfortunes.
"Okay, hold up, hold up , my Jungkookie did nothing wrong , all he had to do was grow into a fine handsome man. "
Hyunjin killed those people with his hands , my Jungkook has nothing to do with that," Taehyung argues, his protectiveness over Jungkook flaring up, ready to confront any threat head-on.
However, the warning is clear: this isn't a battle for Taehyung to fight alone, a point that hits a nerve when it's suggested that he might not be up for the challenge due to his size or experience.
"What do you mean-" Taehyung gasps, offended and hurt at the insinuation.
"Jungkookie, author-nim said I'm small and I can't fight with the big guys," Taehyung complains, seeking validation from Jungkook, who reacts with a protective instinct, ready to stand by Taehyung's side.
The conversation ends on a note of determination, with both Taehyung and Jungkook ready to face any threat together, underscoring the deep bond and unwavering support they share, regardless of the dangers that lurk in their world.

"We must deliberate carefully, Jungkook. It's evident he's vying for your attention," Namjoon proposes, urging a thoughtful approach.
"And he seeks it by audaciously attacking my assets and endangering my people. It's unheard of, and Hyunjin is well aware. Should the others perceive weakness, they'll follow suit, compromising my authority," Jungkook responds, his voice laden with fury.
"Indeed, you're correct. We cannot idly stand by. Action is imperative," Yoongi concurs, understanding the gravity of the situation.
"Yet, that's precisely his aim," Jin interjects, worried about the implications.
"In that case, we'll meet his challenge on our terms," Jungkook declares, a plan forming in his mind.
"Let's host a so-called 'welcome back' gathering at my club. It should intrigue him," he says, rising with determination.
"Jin, enhance the security around all significant assets-clubs, safe houses, orphanages. We cannot afford further destruction," Jungkook instructs before departing.
With Jungkook gone, the team acknowledges the urgency. "Jungkook's not in the right headspace. We need a solid strategy," Hoseok observes, prompting a collaborative effort.
"Jin, any insight into Hyunjin's movements? This chaos is baffling," Namjoon queries, overwhelmed by the workload.
"Upon reviewing the security archives, it appears he's not acting alone. Yet, the accomplice's records are a ghost," Jin reveals, having conducted his investigation.
"Damn it!" Hoseok exclaims, his frustration momentarily eased by Yoongi's comforting gesture
"Whatever unfolds tonight, Jimin and Taehyung's safety is paramount. They must stay put," Jin asserts, protective of the younger members.
"Agreed. Yoongi and I will depart now. There's much to finalize," Namjoon states, exiting with Yoongi.
"Hoseok, do you suspect a link to the Black Ruby in all this?" Jin ponders, voicing a concern.
"It's uncertain, but I'll reinforce the security around the gem as a precaution," Jin decides, signaling the end of their planning session as he and Hoseok prepare to leave.
