The distant cheers and the vibrant hum of the city grow louder as the night deepens in Guadalajara. The lights of the town center shine brighter, casting a warm, golde
n glow over the cobblestone streets. Laughter echoes through the air, mingling with the soft strum of a guitar that has just finished serenading the night. In the midst of it all, Taehyung’s smile shines the brightest, a beacon of warmth and joy, and it’s enough to make Jungkook’s heart skip a beat.Jungkook carefully packs away his guitar, still basking in the lingering energy of his performance. It’s been a while since he last played like this—under the open sky, with a crowd gathered around, their faces lit up with smiles. Taehyung had insisted he should perform tonight, just like he used to back in the day. And Jungkook is glad he did. It brings back memories, of simpler times before the chaos of the mafia life had engulfed them both.
This was exactly what Taehyung had planned. He wanted to remind Jungkook that even though he’s now entrenched in the dark world of organized crime, his identity as a musician—his love for music, the way he could heal broken hearts with his melodies—should never be forgotten.
Taehyung himself had healed slowly, moving to Mexico because of Jungkook. Every Friday night spent watching him perform brought Taehyung peace, helping him forget the pain, reminding him of the beauty in life, of who Jungkook truly is.
As the crowd begins to disperse, Jungkook looks up and catches sight of Taehyung approaching him, a soft smile playing on his lips. The love in Jungkook’s eyes is unmistakable, as he wonders how he got so lucky to have someone like Taehyung by his side.
“How did I get so lucky?” Jungkook murmurs to himself as Taehyung steps closer, his presence as comforting as the music that had just filled the square.
Without hesitation, Jungkook wraps his arms around Taehyung’s waist, pulling him in for a deep kiss under the soft glow of the moonlight. The world around them fades, leaving just the two of them in this moment, lost in each other.
When they finally pull apart, Taehyung’s cheeks are flushed, and he looks down shyly, as if he’s a high school kid with a crush on his senior. “Uhm… there’s a party downtown. We could hang out if you want to come,” he suggests, his voice laced with a hint of nervousness.
Jungkook throws his head back in laughter, finding Taehyung’s bashfulness endearing. His hands remain on Taehyung’s hips, holding him close. “There’s gonna be tequila too,” Taehyung adds, his eyes peeking up at Jungkook, full of mischief as if daring him to say no.
Jungkook leans in, his breath warm against Taehyung’s ear as he whispers seductively, “Who would pass up a Friday night without tequila?” A smirk plays on his lips as he pulls back, his gaze full of promise.
