Marisa's POV
Well school has been quite uncomfortable since Avery stormed out of the Library on Monday. It's now Thursday morning and I don't know if they're still not talking to each other yet or not. Emily has taken full advantage of this by monopolizing all of Avery's time. While Liz has been choosing to spend her time with Leo or me. But I've noticed that every time Emily gets handsy with Avery, Liz either clenches her jaw or squeezes her fist tight no matter if she's holding something. Obvious signs of irritation and anger.
I'm on the wheel high as a kite when I hear Liz come in and set her stuff down on the counter, setting up her computer. She stays quiet for a while and just focuses on editing her photos, leaving me to finish my own pottery. Sadly my peace is broken when Leo walks in loudly talking as usual.
"Elizabeth, Darling, tell me something?" He asks in a poor British accent.
"Something," She says bored.
"Ugh no, what's going on between you and Avery?" He whines sitting on the stool next to her.
I finally look at him and see him dressed up in a Darth Vader costume, holding his helmet in his hand while talking to Liz. I also finally realized Liz is wearing a pair of black heels, black stockings, a black tight pleather skirt, and a green long sleeve. I didn't even realize I'd been staring till I hear Darth Vader's voice say, "You are unwise to lower your defenses." I look over to Leo who is holding his helmet up and clicking the same button again repeating the phrase.
"I thought it was funny, get it your all like ooh butt and boobies," Leo snickers. "And you're not paying attention to your surroundings, get it?"
"It's not funny if you have to explain it." I roll my eyes and go back to my pottery.
"Well anyways, Avery, you. What's the deal?" Leo ignores me.
"Nothing to tell, we disagreed about something, end of story," Liz puts simply, trying to cover up the fact that both got their feelings hurt and are both stubborn idiots.
"So, this has nothing to do with rumors about Jared and Avery getting into a fight?"
"God I hate rumors, is nothing private anymore?"
"Sweetheart this is high schoolers we're talking about, so no," He speaks with sympathy. "But, what I'm confused about is why you're being an ass."
"I am not," Liz defends.
"You kinda are...," Leo disagrees.
"You're both being stubborn, and it's exhausting," I grumble out, catching their attention.
"See, even Mar Mar agrees with me."
"Don't call me that," I say shortly.
"Look all I'm saying is you should try to think about where Avery is coming from, and maybe talk it out. Right Risie?" Leo says calmly and turns to me.
"Don't call me that either." I roll my eyes.
"We'll get their little bookworm." He watches me stand up and has to slightly look up at me. "Or big bookworm," He smiles at me.
"Don't make me put you in my book." I smirk holding up a black book with Death Note written on the cover in white sharpie. "I already have one name down."
"That would be quite dark of you," Leo says without skipping a beat. "So I take your Light?"
"That obvious Vader?" I sarcastically grin at him.
"My what a beautiful smile you have, you should smile more grumpy pants." He pats my cheek lightly before putting his helmet on and making his way to the door. "You don't know the power of the Dark side!" He says in an imitation of Darth Vader before playing the imperial march while walking out of the room dramatically.
