Marisa's POV
My mind is reeling, her face was the only thing playing in my mind on repeat. For my last few classes I couldn't focus, I couldn't even read as a distraction. My mind couldn't look past it, just to look in her eyes it almost broke me.
I see Leo in the hallway and grab him out of the flow of traffic and off to the side. I'm done with these mind games. I need answers.
"What's going on," I demand. "Don't sugar coat shit either."
"You really wanna know?" he asks, pulling out his phone to send a text, I assume it to Liz. "Fine, I'll tell you. But don't tell me I didn't warn you. Now I don't know what you three are up to, like if she's just a toy or a game to you but Avery and Emily really cut deep today."
"What are you talking about?" I narrow my eyes. Emily I'm not surprised about, she's been getting more aggressive with Liz recently and I don't like it much but Avery, that girl is a love sick puppy over that German.
"Well Liz walked in on them making out in the locker room when she went to get her phone," Leo spat. "That's what's up."
After his words registered, all I saw was red. I make my way towards the parking lot with Leo hot on my trail.
"Where are you going?" He calls from behind me, practically running to keep up with my fast walking pace.
"To deal with her," I growled.
I bump students out of my way but soon everyone just parts away from my path like the red sea. Most look like they're about to piss themself at just a glance at my face. I slam the metal side doors open walking directly into the parking lot with my sights zoned in on one brunette sitting on the hood of her truck with a burrito in her mouth. I walk up to her grabbing her burrito and throwing it to the pavement before grabbing her sweatshirt roughly and dragging her off her truck hood and into the grass at my feet.
"Bro, my burrito!" Avery yells in devastation at the sight of her half eaten burrito splattered in the parking lot.
"What is wrong with you!" I growl out, glaring down at her.
"What's wrong with me? You're the one who just destroyed my burrito, I think I should be asking you that?" Avery gets to her feet giving me an incredulous look.
"You can be so fucking stupid, god!" I raise my voice at her, shoving her shoulders.
"Don't call me stupid!" Avery yells back at me, shoving me. "What's your problem!"
"You are!" I scream in her face.
Avery's face contorts into rage. "What have I done to piss you off now?!"
"You just can't keep your hands to yourself can you? You just can't help yourself, one girl isn't enough for you?!" I yell as I stand up at my full height, no more slouching. I shove her again this time making her stumble back and falling back on her ass, she stares up at me with pure rage.
"What the hell are you talking about," Avery grunts, scrambling to her feet and charging at me tackling me to the ground.
At this time I hear the oohs and aahs from the crowd growing around us. From the corner of my eye I see Leo pushing an upset Liz into his car. I ball my fists and throw them down against her back with all my force hearing the wind push out of her lungs, before pushing her off of me and getting back to my feet.
"Don't play stupid now," I snarl out at her.
"Stop calling me stupid!" Avery gets to her feet.
I step forward and throw a closed fist hitting her in the face making her head snap to the side. The crowd oohs with some cheering and others boo. Avery looks back at me and lunges at me when I pull back to swing again. She knocks me off my feet and I just throw my elbows into her back repeatedly, but then she finally throws a fist into my gut making me stop for a minute giving her time to grab my hands and pin them forcefully on either side of my head while digging her knees into my thighs.
