Avery's POV

I'm still running high from this after noon with Lizzie. I unlock my phone just to see the photo of us kissing in front of the Christmas tree while I'm waiting for plates.

"Oh is that your girlfriend?" One of the other servers asks me, leaning on the other side of the counter.

"Not yet," I smile, slipping my phone in my apron as I hear my number getting called. I stack the plates on my tray before palming it and leveling it with my shoulder. "Not yet Stacy." I push open the swing door with my back and head straight for the obnoxious family of 4. I grab a fold out tray holder putting the tray on top before I grab two plates.

"Here is the fall Grouper." I put the plate in front of the man who I know has been staring at my ass all night, "The smoked pork chop, and two popcorn shrimp." I say putting the last three plates on the table. "Is there anything else I can help you with?" I ask, letting my smile take my face easily as my mind wanders back to Lizzie's lips on mine.

"Yes, can I get another beer," The man says pointedly as he glances at my hips as I fold the tray hold and rest it against me.

"Another Bud light, anything else?" I ask.

"No," the woman huffs at me.

I nod and walk back towards the bar leaving the tray and folded tray holder against the side of the bar. "Darin, can I get a Bud light to table 5?"

"You got it superstar," he nods as he makes another cocktail for the blonde at the other end of the bar.

"Why do you keep calling me," I groan.

"Cause that's what you are," He chuckles in his low voice. "Angie is seating two more in your section."

"Another? She keeps doing that, Stacy barely gets tables and yet I feel like I'm running around like a mad woman every night."

"She's got a crush on you, I've been trying to tell you that for months. Probably hoping you'll take her out with all those tips you're getting."

"Yeah right," I scoff rolling my eyes at his statement and walk over to the two new customers. "Welcome to Sandollar Grill, my name is Avery and I'll be your server this evening. Can I start you off with anything?" I say quickly pulling up my pad and a pen, when I look up I'm met with two smiling faces. "End me now."

"Well server Avery," Marisa says slowly. "You can start us off with two of your, wait Liz dear are you in a sweet or sour mood?"

"Mhm sweet," She chirps.

"Great, two sex on the beaches," Marisa grins at me.

"IDs please," I sarcastically grin back knowing their age all too well.

"Of course," Lizzie giggles, glancing at Marisa in amusement.

Marisa pulls out two cards, passing them to me and I glance at it already calling bullshit. "Marisa I can easily pass but you look your age Lizzie sorry."

"Let me talk to your manager," Liz scoffs at me.

"Are you kidding me," I look at her in shock.

"I'm sorry, arguing with a customer? I should write a bad review, poor service and bad attitude from server Avery." Marisa looks at me with a glint in her eyes.

I turn on my heels and walk over to Angie and ask for Tony. She calls him over and I bring him to my two annoying friends who are laughing amongst themselves. When I return Lizzie deverts her eyes from Marisa and looks at Tony with a confident smile.

"What seems to be the problem ladies?" He asks in a friendly voice.

"Yes, your server here won't take are IDs, or more particularly mine," Liz manages to sound like a southern belle. I stare wide eyed at her.
