CHAPTER 7: DREAM PROM

The captain called Tom and Damian and told them to come in to the station.  Tom called Sydney told her he would miss breakfast had to go to station. When they got there they found out that the case was closed.  That Jameson managed to get a confession.  It was one of the girls that was in the sex tape.  She was wanting him to give him the tape, and he refused. She was afraid that it was going to keep her from getting into college, if it surfaced. She took her father's gun to scare him, but he ended up trying to take it and it went off. She panicked placed it in his hand and left him there in the park.

Captain told them good work gentleman.  Tom didn't look happy cause he was a little upset he wouldn't see Sydney.  The guys were saying Hanson you did good first case, why so glum. You look like you got fired. Tom said no reason.  He went to his car for a minute.  He called Sydney.  She said "hey I thought you would be here by now "  He said "So did I. I don't know how to tell you this."  She said "just tell me"  He said "Case is closed."  She said "What so did they find out was it a murder"  He said "yeah one of the girls that you told me about Alice"  Sydney said "What no way Alice. She was one of the sweet ones."  He said "yeah well she took her dad's gun to scare him but he tried take it from her gun went off."  Sydney said "So self defense"  He said "well maybe I'm sure her lawyer will try that but the fact she left him in the park to bleed to death." 

Sydney said "So then I guess I won't see you again"  Tom said "hey no you will. We talked last night about that ok"  She said "I know but I didn't think it'd be so soon."  He said "me either. I hate school, but I'm going miss spending  most of the day with you."  Sydney was crying.  Tom said "Sydney this doesn't change anything. I promise. We will see each other, are you free tonight"  Sydney said "yes."  He said "ok how about I pick you up at school."  Sydney said "how about I just meet you. I still don't trust the guys to not attack you"  He said "ok. Where you want to meet"  Sydney said "I don't care you pick"  He said "ok you have home work tonight"  Sydney said "Probably"  He said "ok you want to come over here, and I can get us dinner, and you can study" Sydney said "ok"  He said "ok I'll see you then. By Syd"  She said "Bye. Hey congrats on your first case"  He said "Thanks. But I didn't do anything."  Sydney said "Well yeah you gave them the information."  He said "Which came from you though So congrats Sydney you just solved my first case Maybe they need to make you the cop"  She laughed. She said "By Tom."  She hung up.

At 3:00 she called Tom.  She said "hey are you sure you wanted me to come over or did you change your mind or have other plans"  He said "no I'm looking forward to it, see what you can teach me today"  She laughed.  He said "You ready to come I can leave work any time"  She said "yeah." He said "ok I'll meet you there"

They got there. Tom came over and they went upstairs.  Tom said "can I get you a soda"  She said "Sure"  Tom said "ok so what we studying for today"  Sydney said "Chemistry"  Tom said "ok I'm out"  She laughed.  He said "Sorry I can't help"  He said "Damn girl you're not only beautiful but a genius"  She said "no"  He said "yes"  He took her hand and was holding it. He said "let me know when you want me to order the pizza"  She said "any time" 

She said "I'm sorry."  He said "For what"  She said "this. I hate it;" He said "hate what"  She said  "This I mean me having to study, how lame Tommy. You probably wish I'd leave."  Tom said "No I've looked forward to seeing you all day. I love spending time with you, and you need to study ok"  She smiled.  She said "you make it kind of hard I mean you're so hot and staring at me"  He laughed.  he said "Sorry. I'm captivated by your beauty"  She said "I wish"  He said "I am serious."

Tom said "So Sydney before I forget, Here"  He got out his wallet and gave her a 20.  She said "What is this for"  He said  "To get those prom tickets"  She said "Tom we don't need to go."  He said "no you are going to your prom. Both junior and senior"  Sydney said "ok if you are sure. But I don't want to get tickets and get a dress and then have to go alone."  Tom said "you won't need to go alone. I'll take you. I promise"  Sydney said "ok if you're sure. You must think it's so lame"  He said "no I don't. And I'm just out of school myself so you make me sound like I'm in my 30s."  She laughed and said "Sorry it's just you act older"
