CHAPTER 35: DONUTS WITH DADDY

Sydney went into the bedroom.  The girls had scooted close to Tommy he was in middle, and both were holding his hand.  She smiled. She went back to the living room, but the lights were off, and Tom wasn't in there.

She went to Tom's bedroom.  The door was half open.  She looked in; he had taken his shirt off.  He was in his jeans.  She was staring at him. Tom went to unzip his jeans and had turned and saw her.

Tom stopped.  he said "Sydney" She said "Sorry."  He said "no I'm sorry. I didn't realize you were there. Come in" She walked in his room.  Tom said "did you need something" Sydney was trying not to stare at Tom's body.  But he was even more hot than when they were together.  She missed him so much, everything they did together, talking, him teasing her, but she missed making love to him. Tom said, "um Syd " She realized she was still staring at him. She felt hot.

She said "Sorry."  Tom said, "Did you need something" She said "no I just was wanting to show you, the kids are so sweet when they sleep."  He said, "They cuddling again" Sydney said, "yes. if you want to see" Tom said "yes."  Tom took her hand and they left to go to the other bedroom.  Tom put his arm around her.

Tom said, "oh my God baby so sweet."  She said "yes" Tom smiled. He said, "just like their momma" She smiled.  Tom caressed her face.  Sydney took a picture.  Tom said, "Can you text me that" She nodded. Tom said, "have they always been like this" Sydney said "yeah, when they were newborns, they had to be touching."  Tom smiled.  She was looking at him and wanted him so bad.  He said, "I love you but um baby I better go to my room" She said, "That's a good idea" He said "See ya early in the morning" She said "ok" Tom left.

She went after him and shut her bedroom door.  Tom turned around when he heard it shut.  She said "Hanson" He said "yeah" She went to him and kissed him. He deepened the kiss almost made her legs give out. She said "I'm sorry. I just watching you undress; I've missed you so much Tom. And I thought I would never be with you again."  Tom said, "I've missed you more and I thought I'd never have you again."  She said "Tom I'm sorry. I wish things were different. I want you so bad. But" Tom touched her face.  He said "Don't. I know we can't ok" Sydney said "But it's going to be so hard."  Tom said "it is, but it's fine. We can't baby. Right now, our focus needs to be on those 3 adorable kids. I mean my girls hate me right now"

Sydney said "no babe they don't. They love you" Tom said "yeah but right now they are hurt, and I don't blame them. I mean I think I would be too if my dad would have not been there."  Sydney said, "But it's my fault, so I wouldn't blame you if you are mad at me."  He said "no baby it's not your fault" Sydney said "I should have tried to tell you again. I should have never gone to that restaurant; I was afraid my parents would find me I shouldn't have left town without telling you.  I did this. Once I found out the truth of why you said those things, Tom I cost my babies their daddy and I cost you 3 years, I let you all down" She cried.  Tom pulled her to him.  He said "Baby don't cry. Look you did the right thing. I am the one who messed up.  I panicked when I saw you, and I was desperate to get you out of there before they realized you were my girlfriend. You had no choice. You are a mom ok. You had to protect the baby and leave town. Your parents paid a crooked judge. You protected our baby. You did the right thing. I'm just sorry you had to do it alone. have them, you are the strongest person I know. I'm really so proud of you Sydney."  He kissed her cheek.  She hugged him.

Tom said "you know Sydney. You have asked me a few times, if maybe I'm just in love with the memory of you, of that teenage girl, but I love you even more than I used to. Seeing how strong, how brave, independent you are. You had to leave town, leave everything, your family, your car, your dreams of a career, and go off alone, pregnant, and feeling hurt and betrayed.  I don't know that other girls in your position would have had those babies Your life changed drastically, and those kids are blessed to have you, but I'm blessed and so grateful to you, that no matter what it cost you, how it changed your life, that you choose to have our babies, I'm a dad because of you. and I want you to know I'm in awe of you, and I love those 3 with all my heart. I want to be the best dad I can."  She said "they love you, all 3, I promise you the girls love you. I think they are just maybe scared you are going to leave again Just give them a few days. I promise it will get better."  Tom hugged her.
