六十三 Far from the capital

Fu Jun Feng watched as the soldiers poured out from the port like water rushing into the sea. Dead bodies were trampled to the ground as crying children find themselves being lost and orphaned. Looking far away from the disastrous area, he keenly senses the inpouring of people that decided to run towards the next ship— the ship they were situated in.

Yes, he got himself 'killed' by the loyal soldiers under him that were secretly under his third brother's faction, Fu Jun Bei.

After being declared dead to the people and taking the evidence of being schemed by his brothers to death, he decides to set sail towards the faraway land away from the capital.

Tu Yi Guan was situated here to be one of Fu Jun Bei's confidants after proving himself to be one of the debt collectors for the fourth prince— him.

Fu Jun Bei was persuaded seeing the head of 'him' that was presented to his side. Tu Yu Guan killed the fourth prince in the base of revenge after knowing that his sister has suffered death at the hands of the Fourth prince's mother.

No one would know or bother to search if it was true, Fu Jun Bei sees himself as superior and all of the dirty things were done by his attendants. In that superiority, he, the killed prince, manages to sneak away under his (Fu Jun Bei) eyes and get the evidence of his supposed death.

Seeing the shadow assassins waiting behind him for orders, he lifted his arm and allowed them to deal with the rest.

"Let the ship set sail"

Cruel or not, his life was comparable with the people dying underneath him. Anyone's lives are like ants from death itself and so Fu Jun Fen has to leave leeway for himself.

"The ship is closing!"

"The ship is about to sail away!"

"Don't leave us!"

"I don't want to die, don't leave!"

"Help us, ah!"

Desperate shouts, unlucky people being killed and frantic hands holding on towards the door was his last expression before he turned away.

Meng Jia Yi and the rest of the people ran hurriedly, their hands tightly opening the slit and pushing each other inside to enter the storage room. That in turn separated dozens of people from their families as well as Meng Jia Yi from her family.

"Mother! Where are you, mother?!" She yelled so loud but it just bounced back after the several shouts of names and cries from the people inside.

"My child!"

"Mama! Uwaa!"

"Let me in! Let me in!"

"Xiao Song, where is my Xiao Song!"

Meng Jia Yi's eyes dimmed, she felt the clothes that were holding her loosened and immediately planned to search but was pushed back by the influx of people.

Hot.
Dim.
Loud.

"Rui Rui!" She yelled her younger brother's name, nothing returned nor could she hear it amidst the panicked people. "Mother! Rui Rui! Where are you?!"

Voice hoarse yet she ignored the raw burning pain in her throat and called for her family. She can't just blurt out the names of her family for fear of being discovered by others thus limiting her chances of meeting them.

"Mother! Rui Rui! Answer me, please!"

Tears have already sprung to her eyes, it dims her vision as she quickly wiped them with a dirtied hand.
