"Damn, it stings," Dae-su groaned as he inspected his elbow. The group was around the fireplace again, all recovering from fighting off Gwi-nam. Nam-ra had coaxed Minari to sleep since she was in a lot of pain. She ran a hand through her hair as she slept with her head on her lap. The Choi girl had torn a lot of Minari's crewneck in order to cover the wounds on her hands and face. The blood stained crewneck had a bunch of holes and tears in it now.

"What the hell is with that Gwi-nam kid?" Joon-yeong asked. He hadn't managed to fix his glasses and now had a scratch across his face; from the right side of his nose across his cheek. "Sorry, Cham-jo."

"Don't say sorry for that spawn of satan," Cham-jo shook his head, glancing at Minari. "He fucking carved into her arm, guys."

"I did my best with her crewneck," Nam-ra said softly, not wanting to wake her up.

"He's insane," Joon-yeong said before turning to Cheong-san. "You said he got bitten."

"I don't know," Cheong-san said, tearing his eyes away from the blood stained fabric tied around the wound on Minari's arm. "It looks like he became something totally different."

"I don't think he can die," Su-hyeok said, massaging his neck. Cham-jo reached over and began to massage his shoulders and the boy let out a relieved sigh. "Mmmm."

"What if he climbs back up here?" Wu-jin worried.

"He's bad enough. . . " Ji-min stated. "but to be honest, I'm scared of Nam-ra too. You saw her fighting before."

"Well," Dae-su said. "I think it's reasonable to assume they're both half-bies--" Hyo-ryeong poked his side. "What?"

"Are you really okay, Nam-ra?" Ji-min asked the girl. "You won't do that to us, right?"

"Ji-min, our favorite Kendo player is knocked the fuck out on her lap, she's caressing her hair," Cham-jo pointed at the pair. "'You won't do that to us' my non-existent tits."

"Yah, I'm just saying," Ji-min shot back.

"Would you believe me if I said that I wouldn't?" Nam-ra questioned.

"Why would you have to say it that way? Can you at least try to make us believe you? We're going to be together anyway.."

A silence fell amongst the group, none of them knew what to say. Even Cham-jo was speechless.

Nam-ra sighed and looked up from her lap where Minari lay, sleeping soundly, "I... I've never done anything but study. I don't think I was naive, I think I was a coward. I was too scared my grades would drop and my mum would get mad. So I didn't do anything. I was too scared to make friends... My mum would always ask me what rank they were in class, what their parents did, how big their house was..." The group watched Minari stir. Nam-ra slowly held her hand and the girl calmed down. "Of course, if I told her that I like someone, especially a girl, I wouldn't even be around you guys right now."

"I never thought I'd get a chance to sit around a fire with all of you like this. It's really nice. It's my first time." She softly nodded. "If we somehow manage to get out of here, I really hope we could make a fire... and hang out like this again. I really hope we can do that."

"Sure, let's do it," Cham-jo cheerfully agreed. "I'm in charge of smores."

"Hey!" Su-hyeok protested.
