Chapter Two || Hunted and Hated

Karl shrunk back from the glares in the room, he didn't expect that many glares if he was being honest.

"How did you find this kingdom?" The King demanded, Karl flinched at his tone and took a few rushed steps back before taking a deep breath.

"I was," he cleared his throat, "given the coordinates to another place else that passed through here." He answered, the King frowned deeply, "I made sure that this kingdom was completely hidden, with no towns around our mountains for miles." He stated.

Karl was puzzled at that, where were those coordinates leading to then? The king sighed deeply and shook his head before looking back at Karl, "How did you get here? Surely you weren't just exploring randomly." The king asked.

"I was being chased by soldiers- human ones. I stumbled across th- your mountains on accident." Karl said hesitantly, the king's face immediately paled with horror and so did the brown-haired man's face.

"I might've lost them all around in a forest though! Humans aren't even supposed to go within about one-thousand two-hundred miles of these mountains!" Karl added quickly, King Philza didn't relax at all though- it just made him even more worried.

"Human, which way did you enter this kingdom?" Phil asked, Karl thought for a second before replying, "Northwest of a town called Wintercrest, I think. There was a small opening in a forested valley that I went through." He responded.

"General Awesamdude," King Philza said, the general lifted his head to show his attention, "Organize a battalion and head to an area like that, bring scouts as well. Make sure that there are no other signs of humans." King Philza ordered, Awesamdude nodded and ran out of the throne room immediately.

"May I ask what's going to happen to me?" Karl asked hesitantly once the general was gone, King Philza sighed.

"Unfortunately, we cannot trust you yet, but I will not put you in a cell because you aren't a citizen of mine or a war prisoner. So I suppose I can just put a few guards on you and give you a guest room." The king suggested.

Karl nodded in agreement, "I honestly just don't want to be in a cell." He admitted, "I don't think anyone does."

"Alright, if this is all settled now, I am King Philza Minecraft of the Arctic Empire. These three are my sons, Technoblade, Wilbur, and Tommy," Philza introduced, "Who're you?"

"I'm Karl Jacobs of the Malevina Kingdom, most call me Karl." Karl introduced with a bow, he had managed to hold back his formal greeting, he knew that this kingdom wouldn't take him too kindly if they found out what he was.

The king nodded and turned his gaze to Dream and Sapnap, "You two, lead Karl to guest room 6b," Dream and Sapnap nodded and Philza continued, "I have an army meeting to attend tomorrow, escort Karl there so we can discuss the threat of humans." He explained, the two guards nodded and Sapnap stepped forward and tapped Karl's shoulder.

"Come on, your room's near my friends and I's room." He said, Karl nodded and gave another quick bow before following Sapnap out of the throne room.

Karl followed them in silence, Dream had left the two to get the key to Karl's cuffs, so it was just the two.

"The meeting's at 8am tomorrow." Sapnap informed Karl, Karl nodded and Sapnap finally stopped at a door, he sighed slightly at the old looking door.

"This'll be your room until you can leave, my barrack is a few halls away." He told Karl and opened the door.

The two stepped inside and Karl gasped while Sapnap sighed, "I knew that they-" "I love it!" Sapnap was starting to say something when Karl interrupted him with a happy squeal.
