Lan Xichen stopped in front of the building. It was slightly and he was late. He was sorry for the passenger he was about to pick up, they have been waiting for a long time.
As soon as he stopped, there was a figure emerging from the entrance of the building. The man who came out was sheltering his head from the rain with his jacket. He was waiving a mobile phone in his hand, clearly trying to attract Lan Xichen's attention.
Which was in truth not necessary at all. Lan Xichen had been a user or the carpooling application for years now, he knew how things went.
But still, there was something a little adorable in a way the other man – his name should be Nie Huisang according to his information in the application – was hurrying. As if Lan Xichen would ever leave him there in the rain.
He leaned forward and opened the door. His passenger immediately entered and closed it after himself. He looked at Lan Xichen and smiled: "Hello, I am Nie Huisang. Thank for agreeing to take me along."
Lan Xichen nodded and started driving. His heart was racing in his chest for some reason.
