"That is it! I had it with you, just go die in a ditch or something if you are not going to listen to my medical advice. I just stitched you up and you are bleeding again!" Wen Qing looked furious as she shouted at Wei Wuxian while patching him up.
"What was I supposed to do? You know Jiang Cheng. We had to do it. And it is not as if he cut all that deep." Wei Wuxian tried to retort.
Wen Ning thought that his words would have been a lot more convincing if he did not have to be supported and if they were not so slurred.
Why did Wei Wuxian had to fight with Wen Qing over something like this? Anyway, it was not as if she would actually refuse to treat him. Even the next time he would get hurt protecting them. And the one after that.
They were fighting just for show, to hide their inner fears and insecurities. Wen Ning knew there was a mountain of unsaid things between them. Like Wen Qing's concern and gratitude, like Wei Wuxian not admitting feeling helpless and needing help sometimes.
They should talk instead of fighting.
