Laffey and Javelin split up from the fleet to increase their search ground, as they sailed around the island they came face to face with Ayanami.
Ayanami draws her sword and stands guard, Javelin has many doubts if she really has to face her.
While in the decoy fleet, the Azur Lane ships continue their heavy bombardment.

Helena/Sandy: [Initiating anti-aircraft fire]
The anti-aircraft guns start firing and Zuikaku and Shokaku's planes are easily shot down thanks to the assistance of Nimitz and her planes.

In that several Wildcat planes begin to shoot down all Zuikaku and Shokaku planes, Zuikaku sees the planes and identifies the insignia of these planes.

Shokaku: Zuikaku! You can't jump ahead without thinking!
Zuikaku ignores and goes to the place of origin of these planes.
Meanwhile Eugen delights in massacring Edinburg and Sheffield, the two of them doing their best to escape while fighting.
